nah, i don't buy any magazines here. why? 1) the imports are quite expensive. i rather buy a CD for the same price 2) local magazines are crap. mostly hip-hop orientated of all online music sites/"magazines" i prefer Pitchfork and Stylus

it's actually one of those few 2006 albums i still listen to i regret i didn't put it higher on my "best of 2006" list :ashamed:

they are OK after one listen. they are quite jazzy. i like that, brings some special atmosphere, but i sometimes felt kind of disturbance during some songs. like they didn't really know what they want to do but the record's OK, i quite enjoyed it in some places

yeah, that makes sense then but still... i don't like the fact that they care more about their sale than quality of their writings......................

what i like about NME: - first they promote an artist as the "next big thing", after they put them on the worst band list - NME put an album in both, worst and best album of the year categories. that's somehow not funny - NME are one dimensional. like there's only "pop/rock" nowadays. other genres don't really get any mentions, do they? seriously, this is trash. i'm not sure anymore which is worse, MTV or NME... and i heard they used to be a good magazine......................

well, i guess b-sides compilations are a bit special cases, aren't they? let's say that one's allowed ;)

i also think it's Greg Saunier (Deerhoof) on that picture he said some nice things about RH in an interview some time ago and i had an expression they became quite close friends. Greg was really respectful about Radiohead, he also mentioned how friendly Radiohead were. btw check out the new Deerhoof album. it's fabulous!
