okay, so after the first full listen... great album so far, probably already in my top 5 of the year. i'm not sure if it's better than Funeral. but i'm not sure either, if it's weaker. it definitely is easier to access than Funeral but needs more listens to really get into every song. i really like the first 2 and the last 2 tracks from the album. i think they chose the right tracks to open and close the album with highlights: - Black Mirror - Keep The Car Running - Ocean Of Noise (song of the year? maybe) - No Cars Go - My Body Is A Cage

actually, i remember one of them, i guess Guy or Chris, mentioned they'll go eletronic on the next album. + you got Eno now. so i can't see why it couldn't happen ;) i don't think the next album will be "Radiohead-sound-a-like". the Talking Heads influence might be quite strong, though. but it's not bad at all, till they'll bring some original sound as it was said in the article ;)

Brian Eno Producing New Coldplay Album He will try to fix them In an interview with Kristy Lang on BBC Radio 4's Front Row program today, producer/musician/artist/god Brian Eno revealed that he is producing the next Coldplay album. "I think [the album] will be very original and very different from what they've done before," Eno said. Well, that's good to know. Lang and Eno had been discussing the Talking Heads' influence on current pop music, so Lang had to ask if the new Coldplay album will sound at all like that band. Eno laughed and replied, "Funnily enough, I mentioned to David Byrne the other day that we are trying very hard to stay clear of Talking Heads." Whew. If there's anything worse than Coldplay trying to sound like Coldplay, it's Coldplay trying to sound like the Talking Heads.
