Wow, just listened to it. Was that english?? Half of it was unintelligible, but strangely enough, I still really like it! Here's my attempt of filling in some of the blanks for the lyrics: Can you hear that that sound? I can feel it in me now... Oh come on from the ground... Oh come out, oh come out Can you feel it stuck? Like a bull in a china shop Oh when you start don't stop And when you start you should never stop...no Oh! Ten to the dozen! Who does, who doesn't? Who choses, who's chosen?! Who must, who mustn't? Who rests and who runs out? Don't ask that question When your world's turned upside down, Oh when your world's turned upside down... ????? I liked you better dead.... Oh can you catch your.......?? Oh like a bullet in your mouth Like a ........in a.......shelf.. .......sparkle on a something something.. Oh can you hear that sound? I can feel it in my mouth. Oh! Ten to the dozen! Who does, who doesn't? Who choses, who's chosen? Who must, who mustn't? Who rests and who runs out? Don't ask that question When my world's turned upside down, Oh when your world's turned upside down... ?????? When are wars gonna stop? Come on break it in two The pieces that I begin to Of what I was and what I'm now Oohhh...ahhh Yeah, I know.....that really wasn't much help. haha I'm going to have to give it many more listens. I'm pretty sure about the chorus bit.

LiquidSky or Vic...or someone :P, could one of you please please upload the original version for me? I did a search and all the links I found are dead. :( I know I should just request it in an existing MM thread, so if you guys don't have the time to upload it, then no matter...I'll just go over there. :) I'm dying to hear this now! :D
  7. :( It is truly sad that people still feel this way about homosexuals. But being an anthropology student, I'm going to look at it from another perspective. The truth is that our culture has constructed a 'two gender' system from which we've created a whole set of gender roles that we link to biological differences (side note: religion has had a big part to play in this socialization model). However our cultural lens prohibits us from seeing that, due to natural biological variation, there exist more than just two genders...they just aren't recognized by our cultural reality. Well they are now recognized, as our language has developed to include words (i.e. homosexuals, transgendered, intersexed, etc) for people with sexes and genders that don't fall into our cultural gender box, but these terms still carry a connotation that set these individuals appart from the 'norm' of our society. To put things into perspective, in many Native American tribal societies, multiple genders (beyond 2) were/are recognized, accepted and celebrated. It is important to know that what it means to be masculine or feminine varies across cultures, and that we must open our consciousness to the biological variation that is inherent in all of the natural world. Just something for you to think about...
  8. I've been meaning to sign up for last.fm for ages...and this thread reminded me to do so! :) I joined the coldplaying group too. Yay! Vic, to join the group membership, all I had to do was play at least one cp song and then it let me in...I think. :P Still trying to figure this whole thing out.
  9. Aww, well iddendat cuuute!
  10. I'm just going to laugh  and send this reporter a stuffed animal and some home baked cookies!!

  12. Humm, wonder why.....
  13. Welcome funkymunky (thats fun to say)! haha, your avi! "I don't mind being a fetish!!":lol:
  14. I love all the ones you've all said, :nice: and also the end bit of IMP at 2:58+ "Singing please, please, please, come back and sing to me, to me, me (lol more like, meaayy)" etc to the end.... My favorite part to sing along to! :D
  15. I also could list many favorites, but one that comes to mind at the moment would have to be at 3:57 in A Message ("And I looove you please come home..."). The way it's just belted out just gives me chills! Nice thread! Now I'm going to look up all the ones you guys have mentioned so I know what you're talking about. :)
  16. Was it for a talent show type of thing? Great song choice ;)
  17. I think I need to start watching vh1 again! :sneaky: How often do they play the VH1's Top 20 Countdown?
  18. Something eye catching and creative, without being cheesey......humm, tricky! I also think something giving a nod to coldplaying would be awesome. I'm sure you'll think of something! Geesh, lucky lucky you... :D
  19. It's hard, but I've learnt to bite my tounge and keep cp related comments to myself.
  20. Follow up time! :P Made any decisions regarding your major yet? Sounds like that ME coop internship, or whatever it was, must have been pretty awful! However I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss engineering (since you've already invested so much time into it) based on that one bad experience. If you think you could still have a little space in your heart for engineering, go talk to an advisor and tell them how you're feeling. Maybe they can help direct you to an aspect of engineering where you can put your writing skills to use! Maybe get another internship that is more exciting. But if your gut is still telling you, after all that, to do something else, then do somethign else! (btw, my name is Nadia) ;)
  21. Trying frantically to finish a HUGE term paper!!!

  23. lol My mom has been forced to love Coldplay because for a while it was literally all I played! She had no choice but to give in!! My dad only knows Talk. He said he likes the way Chris dances. AND he likes to imitate it, so he'll jump around like a loon and 'sing.' Oy vey. My family. As for my friends, eh. Let's just say we don't have the same musical tastes. :( I would say that my bestfriend 'likes' coldplay, but she's not nearly as ga-ga over it as I am!! I took her to the concert and afterwards she complained that her feet hurt from standing up the whole time. fakjhdfakfhda. This is one reason I come on here!!...to share the cp love with other fans. :)
