The Buckland Religion~Official Thread
I think it's when the Kings of Leon are picking up one of their awards. It is very quick. The camera shows Guy, Jonny and Chloe in a row at the table clapping and then a few seconds later I think you see Chris. I think there is one point earlier on in the evening that you also get a glimpse of Will and his wife Marianne. It's very quick though.

houses of coldplay-members
I agree - I think it was general consensus on the board not to post pics as it crosses the line with privacy and their family life. Although there are links to realty photos of Jonny's NY apartment somewhere on here (it was Jonny not Will). But lets leave it there - as Ariadnasquire says, we all deserve some level of privacy... There are pics of the Bakery however - lots of them in a dedicated thread. Just search Bakery in the thread title.

Chris = godfather to be?
Aww how sweet! Really lovely news - congrats to them! He performs with Coldplay a few times and suddenly he becoming a dad! Must be something in the band's water! :laugh3:

The Buckland Religion~Official Thread
It's funny you say she was moody because a friend of mine went to the gig (I had to work ) and she said that Chloe was in the balcony going crazy, dancing along with a few girls. She said it was kind of sweet as they were singing along to all the songs and cheering. She was apparently with a blond girl who acts in the series Hotel Babylon (don't ask me which - I don't watch it! :P) Does anyone have a photo?

Hotshot greens caught wasting home heat
Unfortunately that is typical losses for a traditional London house. Unless you have a brand new built house you are not going to get the very high heat savings. It's stupid to try to compare the two. There are strict controls on altering houses in some areas of London so putting in modern super double glazed windows often isn't an option for older London buildings. Anyway, how the hell do they know what kind of insulation they have put inside their roof and walls? It's all speculation based on the type of house they live in.

- Gwyneth...
I don't think people like Gwyneth actually have to buy the dresses they wear to this kind of thing. Designers usually lend them stuff so they can be photographed on the red carpet etc wearing their label.- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
They had a choice not to do it at a major public event and not to bring along cameras. There is no legal benefit to having a camera crew. And there was absolutely no reason to go to the media with any of the details of this. They didn't need to tell the media about their plans to serve. But they wanted to so they could milk the publicity. If it was just about finding them and serving them they would have just done it quietly, no media hype. Will, Guy and Jonny have been in the Bakery everyday for the past few weeks - that's public knowledge, and Chris has been on live radio several time in the last few weeks - all pre-advertised. If I know where they've been and when then I don't believe that the lawyers couldn't find them! Hell, it's not exactly difficult to find out exactly where they live and sit outside their door. They just didn't try so they could wait and turn it into a dramatic story. Loser!- Gwyneth...
They all went to the premiere together, except Will. But Chris walked up the red carpet with Guy, Jonny and their partners. Gwyneth walked it on her own.- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
I just don't get how Satriani doesn't realize how bad this publicity stunt makes him look... the whole serving at the Grammy's with cameras etc is more Paris Hilton than professional musician. It's just sad that he feels he has to stoop so low to get himself in the papers. And filming it is just pathetic - it isn't going to help him in court so it is pointless, other than to try to get more cash and publicity from releasing it to the media. Sad and unprofessional. I think we should rename him 'Satriani-Hilton' from now on... :P- Albert Hammond Jr/Coldplay European Tour Vlog [2008]
Albert Hammond on Coldplay tour - backstage video Has this been posted yet? It's from UTube. It's a video tour diary from Albert Hammond Jr's tour with Coldplay. [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwol5uuuqaw]YouTube - Albert Hammond Jr. / Coldplay European Tour[/ame] Thought you might like it as it has scenes from Coldplay's backstage area and some footage at the end of Coldplay on stage. Also has little bits from Vicki (Coldplay assistant) and other coldplay behind-the-scenes people. Also funny video of Albert and his band etc. Enjoy! :) Sorry if this has already been posted... it's been up for a week so probably has ;)- Gwyneth...
It's a movie and it's part of her character's role to expose herself. Acting is her job. She was just following the script and the Director. She showed her chest in 'Shakespeare in Love' and was completely nude in 'Sylvia' so it's clear that she's not against nudity as part of her job, so I don't know why this comes as a surprise. It seems like now she's older and has had a few kids it suddenly becomes shocking that she would bear her chest  Or maybe it's just shocking in the US because people aren't used to seeing it? Yet it happens all the time in films, you'd think that it would be considered totally normal by now. I think the newspaper in the UK are more excited than shocked :P- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
What his lawyer said basically means that Coldplay didn't roll over and say "okay Joe, you're right, here's a lump of money". But why should they negotiate if they completely feel that they did not copy or were not influenced by Satriani's song. They obviously feel they have a case and that they did no wrong, or they'd just have settled.- The Buckland Religion~Official Thread
All this Satriani stuff has meant that the really important matters have been ignored... like how very lovely Mr Buckland is! :P- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
Excellent! :laugh3: Just goes to show how totally ridiculous the whole thing is!- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
I agree. Can you just imagine how it must feel to have someone publicly claim your work, after you spend the best part of a year on it. They must be seriously p*ssed off!- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
Don't know if this has been posted, but The Sun (UK) 'Bizarre' section have published a nice article about the whole thing. Thank you Gordon Smart! :) "Why Joe's case could go Cold" by Gordon Smart Published: 08 Dec 2008 AS if the whole COLDPLAY-stole-my-song circus wasn’t silly enough, a third track has now appeared, with claims it is the inspiration for Viva La Vida. But the discovery of French singer ALIZEE’s track by music fans could actually be good news for CHRIS MARTIN and Co. Guitar legend JOE SATRIANI is already suing the band, claiming Viva La Vida contains “substantial original portions” of his 2004 song If I Could Fly. But Alizee released her single, J’en Ai Marre, a year earlier, so Joe’s lawsuit could fail as he could be accused of copying her. To add to the confusion, New York band CREAKY BOARDS are maintaining their aptly-named The Songs I Didn’t Write was the tune Chris “stole” from. Even the finest legal minds in America are going to have a hard time getting their heads around this one. An industry expert, who spent the weekend studying all four tracks, said: "The chord structure, build-up and instruments in all appear to be identical. “However, there are only 12 notes that exist in music, for example La Bamba and Twist And Shout share the exact chord structure. "So some songs will naturally sound similar." ------------------------------- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
Here is a link to a funny article in the Telegraph (UK) about how stupid the whole plagiarism thing really is. In the article they have a video of this singer Alizee, which I couldn't include. "The great Coldplay conspiracy - the plot thickens" Posted By: Neil McCormick at Dec 9, 2008 at 13:55:12 [General] Posted in: Arts , Audio File I am indebted to Telegraph reader Bob for pointing this out. It's another song that sounds pretty much exactly like Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida', this time by French pop singer Alizée, which came out in 2003, a year before Satriani's 'Learning To Fly', which appeared three years before Creaky Boards debuted their presciently titled 'Songs I Didn't Write', which they played at the CMJ music festival before an audience they claim included someone who looked very like Chris Martin, whose own variation on the increasingly familiar chord sequence and melody appeared this year. So if Satriani is suing Coldplay, should Alizee sue Satriani? We'll leave Creaky Boards out of it cause they've obviously got no money. Songwriters are always talking romantically about plucking songs out of the ether. Chris Martin would probably be well advised to have a lawyer present the next time he tries that.- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
Actually I think that you are probably wrong. The lawyers would no doubt have had a lot to do with it and nothing would be published without their go-ahead, but this is a very personal thing against the band and something they have spent a lot of time creating. It is their work that is being defended, so I imagine they do actually want to be involved in what gets said. I think it's just as ignorant to assume that just because it sounds professional means they had nothing to do with it.- Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
I agree too. It's his right to make a legal claim if he feels he has a case (I don't agree with him, but that is irrelevant) , but yes, his publicity-maximizing timing makes me skeptical of his motive and sours the whole thing even more. I think the boys responded well. Professional yet firm about their view of it :)- Download Lhuna (duet with Kylie) on Monday! [1/12/08 World Aids day]
Oh I really really like it! Excellent! :)- Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland pays $3.4M for a condominium in Manhattan
I'm not sure about the legal side of things. I think it may just be that the UK newspapers and magazines accept that it's not the right thing to do and therefore generally don't do it. They often report the area that the celeb lives in e.g. Kate Moss lives in Primrose Hill, Chris & Gwyneth in Hampstead etc, but not an address. It's a bit like not publishing pap pictures of celebrity babies & small children, or fuzzing out their faces. It's not a legal requirement but lots (not all) of the UK newspapers and publications choose to do this as they feel publishing pap pics of kids is not the right thing to do (which is true). Well, at least the block Jonny is in is apparently secure. That's the most important thing :)- Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland pays $3.4M for a condominium in Manhattan
Even if it is a common thing for celebrity addresses to be published in US newspapers (not the same in the UK - it's not common, as far as I know), it still doesn't make it right. The way I see it, it's just not necessary to report the actual address. Fine to report he's bought a place and even that it is in the East Village. But adding the address doesn't add any value to the news. It doesn't make it more newsworthy. So for me, that means it's over stepping the privacy mark. As for the info being a public report, that is very different from it being published in a newspaper. Most people wouldn't bother going through public records to find out where Jonny Buckland has his home, but the newspapers have made this information available worldwide on the internet. Totally unnecessarily. That is very different from a public record. You are constantly being advised not to release any personal details about yourself on the internet for your own security, yet it is okay to do it with someone else's information, just because they are a 'celebrity'?!? It's just not a decent or necessary thing to do. That kind of thing can have real consequences for Jonny and his family.- Gwyneth...
That there are reports of her shacked up with some man for Thanksgiving, when she is photographed in another country with a group of friends, just goes to show how much 'fact' really goes into these stupid break up articles. It just proves that all these rumors are based on stupid made-up speculation. The people writing this stuff don't need any facts or proof before they publish this kind of thing. They just write what they want to write and people just assume it must be true  - Gwyneth...
