Its always either been my favourite or tied with up with the birds, depending on my mood. And its 2nd only to Politik as an album opener. Superb live too.

Went to see The Maccabees last night, 6th time i've seen them and they've hit the big time. Lazers and big screens! Was happy they played a lot of the old favourites and we could have a dance. Also first Ally Pally trip, was pretty place, not great sound though

I think intially there was the unbridled excitement of having a full new album after months of hearing live versions on youtube vid's etc. and so rated the album very highly. Then it settled down, after continous plays, there is a slight boredom that makes you think it might not be very good at all. Luckily other albums came out from other bands i loved and i could put MX to one side for a while. Over the past few months i've listened to it more and more, and i have to say it is a very good album. Probably their 3rd best and i won't go into a deep review. ps. The live performances help appreciate the album further

Saw them at Koko, Camden couple of weeks ago. It was quite clear the audience had little interest in the new stuff, which admittedly is pretty poor. Although everything from the 1st album went down really well and actually felt like it was played with more passion! still should be a decent support band

its not so much long as it is very stupid. i missed our first year anniversary to travel away to newcastle to see a gig, (and the person i went with was another girl my girlfriend didnt trust). anyway, i ended up staying there for a couple of days and somehow came to the conclusion i should end my relationship. i think it had something to do with listening to Trouble live and realising i really was.
