Ne, Niedersachsen hat keine Feiertage... Muss gleich wieder hin... Aber schön ruhig im Moment! :nice: Naja Sturmfluten haben wir hier ja öfters, aber kann mich nicht erinnern, dass ich es mal so schlimm erlebt habe, naja abgesehen von 1994 und 1999 vielleicht. Am schlimmsten wars ja damals im Jahr 1962, wo Hamburg abgesoffen war und es auch hier in der Gegend zu Deichbrüchen kam... Hab Fotos von der Kaje gemacht, als es hier um kurz nach 9 Uhr Hochwasser war. Werd die heut abend vielleicht mal reinstellen. :)

Faules Pack da unten! :P Ich muss heute arbeiten... und gestern (Reformationstag) auch und am Buß- und Bettag auch... :dozey: Ihr wisst ja gar nicht was hier für ein Chaos ist... Heute Nacht zog ein Sturm hinweg, sowas hab selbst ich als Nordlicht noch nicht erlebt. Heute Morgen dann Katastrophenalarm in der Stadt... Deichschaarten wurden geschlossen, weil gegen 9 Uhr, als Hochwasser war, eine schwere Sturmflut drohte (+4m über NN). War gegen 8 Uhr auf dem Deich um mir das mal alles anzugucken und das Wasser stand sowas von hoch... so schlimm hab ich es noch nie erlebt! Das Wasser ist schon in ein paar Häusern drin gewesen und hatte bereits einige Autos verschlungen. Die gegenüberliegende Flussinsel Harriersand war komplett unter Wasser, lediglich die Häuser auf den Warften guckten noch heraus. Durch den Sturm kam der Verkehr in der Rush-Hour zum erliegen und Züge hatten bis zu 2 Stunden Verspätung. Was für ein Tag! In Hamburg wird gegen Mittag mit +4m über NN gerechnet... Ein gutes hatte der Sturm aber auch... die Kack-Blagen konnten gestern nicht rumgehen und Süßigkeiten erbetteln. ;)

Haha really? Well, German is hard to learn and it's really a difficult language, but well... with English you will get everything you want here. Would be great to visit good old Europe. ;) We had exchange students coming from Seattle a few years ago and they didn't have any problems here so I guess you won't have any either.

I only have CNN and I think the other one is Fox News (very pro Bush :confused:), but I'm not quite sure. Oh Kara, so you have your house in Brighton for your own? ;) I've never been to Liverpool either. But I guess the dialect there is difficult to understand, isn't it?

Ah that's sad Kara! But I'm sure you'll also have a great time in Brighton. :) God, I'd wish to do a little trip to the South coast of England next month but it's going to expensive... But someday I will do it. Can't wait to be back in England... driving on the other side... another currency... I miss it! ;) Hehe Angie, well tomorrow no game can be watched in Free-Tv, all games will be broadcast on Pay-Tv here, including Sofia-Werder. You might watch Hamburg-Porto on Wednesday in Free-Tv though... :dozey:

I'm sure you wouldn't get any language problems, because nearly everyone here is able to speak English. Pupils are learning English at school and British and American influences are too strong, so you'll always be faced with English words every day. ;)

Nicko, grazie sono benissimo! Angie, last week I saw a reportage on TV where they said that more and more people are starting to play football (or as you say "soccer") in the USA. Do you think it's true? Mariana, where do you have to work? Oh Kara, I'm sure you'll do a great job with your presentation. Sarah, yeah, I remember on a flight to Tenerife a few years ago that I've watched Mr Bean in a plane. ;) That episode at the fairground is fantastic. :D
