Spies Alternative version
There was an EMI compilation release in...I think 1999, that had the alternate version on it. One of the Flavour of the Label cd's. If I remember correctly, EMI issued two of those various artist cd's in 1999. Both have Spies on it, but one has the album version and the other has the remix version.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going for it, just really really curious. I'd even be ok with the TDK, as they were independently made, ...except they weren't made by BMG. I'm guessing it sells for a couple hundred. Just won't be me. :-)

Just saw this on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251357245042?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 I'm a but confused. Ode came out in '98, and the band didn't sign to BMG till '99. All the Ode stuff I've seen always states "The Coldplay", and I'd have no idea why a demo would ever have BMG labeling. Obviously, this would have had to have been distributed after the independent distribution of Safety, but the labeling really does look good for a fake. Hmmm...what do you all think?

Ode To Deodorant value?
Out of curiosity, how much are you asking?

How many offical cd's of Coldplay do you have?
Too large to post, but here's a Dropbox link (same as in the collectors thread). Should work for Excel or Numbers. Hasn't been updated in a bit, but only missing a few of my pieces. Prices are way off. https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6wpn6of16...py%202.numbers

Boo! All that work wasted! :-/. If I still actively collected the new stuff, I'd visit often. Mostly I check back time to time, to see if you've added anything new. It's such a stupendous resource!

It should be real. There are a few Japanese promos, but that's definitely one of them. If I wasn't at work, I'd check for the "TDK..." on mine, but from the photo, labeling looks right. Should be just the CD, with no casing or artwork.

Thanks for the link! Not exactly the one I posted, but super eerily similar. Think the poster found one of my old sheets, and swapped currencies. I should have everything on there, and a bit more, if you should need more info on any of the pieces. Prices on the spreadsheet will probably be way way off, considering the economic climate of the last several years. Stopped collecting about mid-way through the promotion of the last record, but most anything before that, I might be able to help. :-) Not sure if this will work (I've regressed in my computer knowledge over the past couple years), but if it does, here's my most current list. May be missing a few, but mostly complete. https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6wpn6of16pqjoi/Coldplay110110%20copy%202.numbers

I spent about $80 USD for my X&Y long box. They don't come around very often. Way harder to find is the AROBTTH longbox. BTW, you have the link to that XLS list? Wonder if it's mine. I can give you more info, if you need it.

It's definitely real. Yellow and Trouble had Taiwan release; both pretty cool. Don't pay more than $50-$60 for either, though. They're common enough to pop up occasionally on eBay for cheap.

Also check markplace sites, like netsoundsmusic and music stack. Picked up Mince Spies for $35 US and got that Viva promo for around $40 US.

Tattoos and piercings
Eight tats (none on public skin), ears pierced. Had tongue pierced, but eventually had to drop it when accepted at my current employment. Nearing my late 30's with no regrets. :-)

Hey, it was a French press/promo release. There's a folder and when opened, there's a slot on each side, one for the Blue Room and one for a Shiver promo. Tried to find a photo, but I must've deleted it out of my photobucket account. Can upload one Monday, if you're interested. I've found it listed in a few places, but have only ever found the one for sale. This is it http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=162016, but there's no photo. doritji, that makes sense :-). I'd probably consider it for that price too! Even thou I've ebbed my purchasing, I don't quite have the heart to sell any piece...though its a little tempting, sometimes. I'm scared I'd regret it. :-(

I haven't picked up much over the past year either, but I'd keep your acetates. I feel the same way, though. I've been tempted to sell some chunks and pieces, but if I eventually do, I'm sure ill keep my acetates, my safety and my blue room/shiver pack. They all were tough finds, and I think I'd feel sad to part with them. :-(

RSD 2013: 7-inch vinyl picture disc, featuring Hurts Like Heaven and Us Against The World (Live)
Appears to be available here: http://www.smokecds.com/cd/53955 now. I just ordered one; they also seem to ship worldwide. Probably available elsewhere too, but figured I'd throw this out there.

Cool! Unfortunately the market stinks lately. It's a cool CD, but I've seen them go for only $10-$15 USD lately. Even a few years ago, before the global economy tanked, I listed mine with a value of $30 USD on my spreadsheet. Hope this helps!

Which promo is it? (Canadian, US, UK, #'d cardboard, Japanese, etc...)? Also, does it have a serial number? Post or PM me a pic + this info and ill give your hand with pricing.

How many offical cd's of Coldplay do you have?
This is about 5-6 months old, and a few items are missing, but it is probably a decent update over my last. Hope the link works; my first time doing this through Dropbox. It's a PDF, so everyone should be able to access it, if interested. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hh67kgtmlcdm3rn/Coldplay110110.pdf

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
If you're buying from eBay, make sure the seller has HIGH ratings, and that any complaints have nothing to do with items being counterfeit. I usually ask the sellers to provide me with information, like certain markings or serial numbers that should be on the CD, vinyl or casings/sleeves. If there's something you're looking at, but you're not sure, shoot me a PM with a link. No guarintees, but I've been collecting their stuff for awhile, and will give you my honest opinion (and promise not to snag it).

When your hobby is collecting, it's about obtaining the item, not mp3's of the tracks. Very rare EP that took me nearly five years to obtain, myself, tho I didn't spend nearly as much and got a handwritten note from Chris to whomever received that copy, to boot.

It's not fake, and it's pretty cool, but nothing special. Not particularly rare, but usually goes for about $30 usd, so price point is good.

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
The box set is cool. I have two that I got for about $20 each. Hold off for a cheaper set.

They look real to me. I'd go up to $55, but the one went for $130!!

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
There were a few CL promo releases. Aside from the pop-up, physical promos exist from the UK, France, Japan and Denmark.

Looks legit, in the slimline with the panda art. The US re-releases were in full sized jewel boxes, not slimlines released by Fierce Panda/Brash and Fierce Panda/Sixthman...or something similar.
