i've ready very limited; once sold, that's it, no reprints, etc... looking for pre-sales outside fo the coldplay shop, I haven't seen any in about a month, so I'm assuming most have pre-sold their limit.
  2. ^^ except that if we wanted to order the pencils, mood clock, puzzle, various dated gig posters, and some other merch that were/or still are for sale in the UK/ROW shop, we're fucked. Eilther pay thrice the price at eil or wait for them to pop up for double on eBay. they threw us one bone; don't feel too sore about it.
  3. ^^^ FYI for any Canadians and yanks, we CANNOT order from this section of the site. I've gone round and round with them for other merchandise in the past, and they always claim they cannot ship to the US/Canada, but hope to list the merch on that secion of their shop shortly. fingers crossed they eventually do, for those who want to order direct from the site.

nah. that's a good price, depending on condition.
  5. EVERYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM, READ THIS!!! instead of ignoring the words bta burnt calaries typing to help you out with your conundrum! this is a short and ACCURATE paragraph! ahh, the best of both worlds.... BEFORE purchasing the Japanes release of the record, VERIFY the tracklisting. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER trust the photograph attached to the item! These sellers DID NOT intentionally mislead you; the dual release in itself is the point of confusion.
  6. ^^ that's cheap these days. some go over $2000 USD...
  7. 66 replied to Zman54's topic in Past Releases
definitely. some say the green tint is a rarer find

the item is probably real. the warning label is attached to his blatant retaliatory negative feedback...multiple occasions of buyers complaining if sales never processed and merchandise never sent and of communications never returned. after neg feedback is left, seller will respond alike.
  9. you're selling these actual items (authentic)? or a discography? if actual items available, what forms of payment do you accept? thx
  10. no clue how many were pressed in the US (under both brash and sixthman under fierce panda. there are two different serials too...so probly many). thanks a lot fo clarifying the 01/02 info with the original and secondary press; much much appreciated.
  11. There area 3 general CD releases of the EP. None are over the top expensive (probably due to the re-release status); all have the same tracklisting. The original release and 2002 re-issue are solely through Fierce Panda with the serial of NING68CD. Both come in slimline casings. I'm not positive about properly designating an original from a 2002 release, but I've been told the original should come with a Fierce Panda mail insert, the CD art should present a large panda and the underside of the CD should have an '01' next to the serial. I'm working on purchasing an 02 for comparison. OTW, you also have three US 2004 re-releases. These are MASS cheap don't spend more than $4). All are released through Fierce Panda/Brash (two times, with different serials) and Fierce Panda Sixthman. These re-issues are all housed in general jewel sleeves, and are easy to tell apart from the initial two UK/EU releases. The more rare Bro and Sis release is the 7" vinyl. It'll usually run $60-$85 USD, depending on condition. hope that helps you somewhat.
  12. if it's the same thing i have on another release, it's about 15 minutes (completely guessing). i don't completely disagree with the EMI sentiments, but if mail-order is unavailable to someone in those release regions, it's nice that they will be getting a general release in their area; it's also a great shout out for collectors, and the videos officially released on DVD are phenominally better quality than anything you'll find on youtube. This item +/- a tracks, was also released in Holland (w/b-sides), then Australia and in a few East Asian countries (w/more material), now in Argentina, Mexico and Brazil (w/minimal extra). Not like they're literally going country to country promoting area specific limited releases....and if they are, they have a long way to go.
  13. ^^poss the SE Asian edition. That one has a B&W photo of them on the cover. This Aussie is in color. All the same tracklisting, just diff art.
  14. ^^^ did you try amazon.com? they had them available yesterday...and they weren't that expensive.
  15. old news. this is already up...think in the releases forum. check for comments and more info there.
  16. yes you can. i'm in the us and have it. cheapest spot to grab it would be on eBay. most go for under a buck. not an ebayer? try your local record shop. if they don't have it, request they order it. i've both found the singles and ordered them many times with no issue, though, in the long run, it will cost you more than ordering it on eBay.
  17. hey iriden :) if it means anything, i've had good luck with this guy in the past (proper packaging for shipment, etc...) and the price is cheaper than avalanche had their's up for. I'm waiting to see if any vendors on the marketplace sites jump on board any time soon.
  18. ...then don't buy it. for collectability, this will be something to own, no matter the track listing. for listening pleasure, i'm sure we can all swap out tracks here and there. then again, if you're buying for listening pleasure, you might as well just stick to your cd's, and if you're collecting, you dont want to be popping the seal and rummaging about the set, decreasing it's value like a ford driving off the lot of the dealership.
  19. oh yeah, because hundreds of other bands haven't been doing the same for decades. try looking at a discography for any popular band that's been around for 15+ years, and run a comparison. Coldplay, EMI, who ever you want to cry to or bitch about is following marketing standards in a wobbly market where only a handful of bands literally keep companies going. with all the shit going on 'round the globe, makes me more irritated that so many people gripe that EMI's releasing a CD that most have no intention of buying, anyway. God knows if they released the Toronto DVD for sale, people would bitch they're trying to make a profit off of something that was aired for free.
  20. gise-honey, you'd be my HERO!!!! if you found out what retailers are selling this!!! think of it this way. Coldplay material has been/is distributed by EMI, Parlophone, Capitol, Nettwerk America, BMG, Toshiba. They are technically signed by EMI, and the others are or were regional subsidiaries. It's not a big deal to us when they release X&Y in Europe, Austrlaia, US, Argentina, Taiwan and Japan. Though all may have different serial numbers, art, +/- an OBI, special stickers or markings, special verbiage differentiating that country's X&Y release from another, we don't get upset. Because they're regional distributions; they're expected to have minor variances. So they're releasing a Latin America Tour Edition, but not a DVD tour documentary. You're damn right I want a copy...of both (if the DVD existed), but I also collect. for those who solely want the material, it's all out there, the videos, the Toronto pro shot straight from someone's TV to your PC. OTW, look around, bands and record companies have been regionally marketing the exact same records and cd's for years, while scrapping other projects. this is nothing new.
  21. hey gise-honey, you know of any retailers preselling this? thanks a lot!
  22. shouldnt be too surprising. previous posts indicated pre-sale prices of 75 - 90 euros per set.
  23. If the item is going to be as scarce as advertised, i wouldn't expect a global release. with the world wide web, any person in any country, region, state, etc... should be able to purchase an available set from a retailer based in any country, region, state, etc... and have the item shipped to your door. most will accept credit card, paypal, bank transfers, checks drawn in that country's currency, western union money orders, cash of that country's currency, and/or other general options offered by retailers. even if a credit card isn't a viable option for a consumer, communicating with the seller will usually yield a solution. there are now two sets up on ebay, for anyone who's interested. also might want to keep an eye on gemm, musicstack and netsounds.
  24. I preordered two through avalanche records, who primarily sell on eBay. They still have one availabe for pre-order. Approx $117 USD. it's the only place i've seen it up for pre-oder so far
