  1. Ticket choice waaaaaay better this time around.. I just pulled up two tickets in section 4! Where the hell was this for the Tampa presale?!?!?! I bought one, in section 6. I'll take it.
  2. The most expensive seats will most likely be about $130. Note that they'll be expensive, but by no means the best seats in the house. Let's thank LiveNation for that! I'm on stand-by ready to go on ticketrush.com. I've decided that if I can't score great seats, I'd much rather try to volunteer for Oxfam. Last minute details have left me going to the West Palm show by myself ( :( ) and if I get to help out a good cause and meet people along the way, then even better. I figured I'd change it up the fifth time around, lol.
  3. You can see some dancing in the 2003 DVD. The "One I Love" performance pops up in my head right away. He has this dance move that I do, where he raises his arms up and kinda jumps, as if he's reaching for something in the sky, LOL. It's my favorite. But the best has to be seeing him when he does those super limber yoga moves where he can bend down to the ground with ease and still sing his little heart out. Dear goodness gracious that is just pure eye candy, all the way.
  4. I wonder how shocked they would be at a "Crests of Waves" request at soundcheck! I think sometime in the future they should go on a B-sides tour. Somewhat smaller venues (since they won't be playing the big hits), not too many dates, and just play all those songs that they never play. Maybe even throw "Ode to Deodorant" in there if they're feeling extra bold, lol. I'm sure I've heard of bands doing this during extended breaks from putting out new material, or am I just imagining things?
  5. Hotels are super pricey there, huh? And West Palm is a pretty upscale town. They're all about the classy there, lol. Driving from Orlando to West Palm is about 2 and a half hours. That's fine when you're all excited and on your way there, but when it's almost midnight and you've gotta get in your car and drive back home for two hours: Torture. Hotel is a smart move, but if carpool has to happen, that's okay :) The venue is exactly the same as the Tampa one, it looks. Isn't this where they played in 2005, right after Chris was over being sick, and he thanked the doctor during "The Scientist"? And fingers crossed that LiveNation doesn't stick it to the little people once again.
  6. I don't want to be a bad influence...But I think you should do it, hehe :D I speak as someone who's also in O'Town and seriously considering this road trip. And by considering, I mean it will most likely happen. I wonder if my friend will be in. If not, then it's just me, Coldplay and South Florida for a fifth go-around. If anything, there could be a Central Florida carpool service, just let me know!
  7. I'm gonna have to tell my friend this, maybe there's hope for us, lol. We're still excited though. And I'm all for a new thing or two this leg of the tour! And now there's West Palm in May, outdoors again?! Coldplay likes Florida.
  8. Coldplay!!!! Why are you doing this to meeeeeee? We're in a recession! Okay, you win (only because I love you). I guess I'll see you in May! So who's in? Tickets go on sale March 23. I'm naming this Coldplay's Florida Summer Time Double Whammy.
  9. Yeah, even if a roadie looked me in the eye, I think I'd still have no luck! This just doesn't happen to me! Which sucks for my friend, 'cos she's going with this super jinx. When it happens randomly and last-minute like it happened to you, it's gotta be the best thing ever! Would be it rude to ask...or beg? LOL, just kidding. I wonder if in this venue layout they'll do the acoustic set the same as at the Orlando venue...
  10. I don't know for sure at what time the gates will open. They usually open an hour before the opening act, no? And by that time, there's already a giant line! And at this venue, there's gates, but after they open, it's like a courtyard/food court thing where you can buy merch, all kinds of food, beer, cocktails, lol. And theeeen you walk up to the actual venue. But it's all open, so you can hear everything even if you're not in the courtyard. Outside the gates it's like a mini complex, with benches, little water fountains, a gazebo. I remember walking through there and sitting while waiting for the gates to open. And I could hear the Eric Clapton soundcheck, it was very cool. I think it's safe to say I'll be there way before the gates open, haha! Does anyone know when the sound check usually happens?
  11. The cool thing about this venue is that since it's outdoors, you can hear the sound checks really, really well. so although you can't see the band sound checking (unless luck strikes you and you do get this opportunity!) you can hear all the stuff they say, play, etc.. I'll be getting there early to at least hear it, lol. It's the only treat besides the actual set, since I've given up hope on the seat upgrade miracle. It's meant for someone else, but not for me :(
  12. The tickets got here nice and safe yesterday, finally! My friend and I will be stopping by to pick up some, thank you so much! That's very nice of you to share that. Maybe closer to the date, I can get some more to distribute around so that a good amount of people have one? How amazing would that look? We're in Section 16, Row F; we should try to get some glow love around there, lol. This reminds me of the Happy Birthday Chris signs from the last tour. I love it. And anyone else counting down 'till August, already dreaming of some big surprise that we haven't seen yet? For the past 2 tours, I've held out for "Crests of Waves." One day I'll witness that live!
  13. Has anyone not gotten his or her tickets yet? I'm kind of worried... Also, where can my friend and I get some glow sticks?! Should we buy them, or do we get them in Tampa? We wanna say bye too ;) I can't wait. Now I just need to know that my tickets will reach me!
  14. Feliz Cumpleaños to my birthday twin; to the one I like to call my Dream Man when I'm daydreaming... And because we're both celebrating today, I'm quoting the best birthday song ever to be written by The Beatles: "You say it's your birthday! It's my birthday too yeah! They say it's your birthday! We're gonna have a good time!" I'm glad it's your birthday, happy birthday to you! Yes we're going to a party, party.. ! !
  15. You know what, you've got a point, because the back of section 14 is pretty much the front of the lawn. Only that walking area divides them. But the back of section 14 (which is kind of the front of the lawn) still costs waaaay more than a lawn seat. Someone tell me how that makes any sense? I went to go see Eric Clapton there last year (don't laugh, I love him) and I was on the lawn. I managed to sneak up to the front for the encore, 'cos the pathways to get to your seat are pretty large, and no one really cares if you move because there's enough room. It sucks, my friend and I are giant Coldplay fans, but LiveNation caters only to the people with connections who will throw down money for the VIP seats, and most likely think Coldplay is Chris Martin with some other dudes. If we get the lawn, I'm guessing we're not going to be the only ones praying for ticket upgrades! So where exactly are the majority of the good seats? I know Coldplay keeps some for the upgrades and the guests, but where can most of them be found?
  16. Agreed. My friend and I just let ours go, and we said the same thing: It can't be worse. We thought the pre-sale would give us an advantage, but all we got was section 14! We tried both pre-sales until we just said forget it, tomorrow we'll probably get something around the same location. The thing that bothers me is that I know there are three price ranges; the most expensive being about $97, which ends up to be about $130 when you add all the extra crap charges. Now, I wouldn't mind paying $130, or even $150+ if I knew I was going to get truly good seats. The seats that should cost $130 are the ones that are up there, section 1, 2, 3, etc...But section 14 costs and is worth the same as section 1, according to LiveNation! That doesn't make any sense. They are two opposite friggin' vantage points. So technically according to LiveNation the only "cheap seats" worthy of a lower price are the ones on the lawn, and off to the side??? That's kind of bullshit, I'm sorry. This LiveNation/Ticketmaster thing is really unfortunate. These people are taking part in blatant ripping-off, and no one is doing anything about it. I wonder if bands can choose to boycott this, and go another route, even if it's smaller. I doubt Coldplay has anything to do with this complete screwing over we're being subjected to. It was wrong before, but now it's even more disgraceful. My rant is done! I hope everyone had some better success!
  17. Yeah, I had to wait for my time to see them as well, when they came to Orlando a few years back. And like you said, it was worth the wait! If I could, I'd go see them outside of Florida, but for them to come to Florida three times this tour, that's kind of huge. If only I could go to Houston or something! If you have a way, then you should totally do it. I take it the hardcore fans will be there, then! I cannot wait. Thank you Coldplay!
  18. I was going to come here and say, "are the usual suspects coming to this show too?!" But the answer is as clear as crystal, lol! I really must say hello to you other Coldplay addicts in Florida. To know that I'm not crazy for following them around the state...It makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one! Come on August!
  19. someone said it could've been something about MIA's belly, "her belly is so big" i swear, i saw "that was f---ing brilliant, man."
  20. did chris say to will at the end of the M.I.A. performance, "that was fucking brilliant, man!" or i just suck at reading lips. that's probably it.
  21. I know I'm horribly late, but is there a place where I can watch the band's performance tonight? I missed it :( I'm horrible. And what happened to the guys after Chris said, "I'm gonna go sit back down in my chair"? They stayed on stage, and Chris went back to his seat?
  22. she's a well-known bluegrass singer. did some songs for "o brother where art thou?" when it was released back then, i think. this robert plant partnership has gone long enough, though lol. time for plant to pick up the phone and give jimmy a call and say, "ok, i'm IN!"
  23. Okay, raise your hand if that post-concert depression has officially arrived? :( Last Friday at this time...I was NOT sitting in my house watching TV, I was getting ready to listen to Coldplay extra loud in front of me! Damn you Coldplay and your abilities to leave some fans feeling happy and sad at the same time! The same thing happened in 2006. This is also about the time where I either: a) hope Coldplay come back soon, or b) look at the remaining tour dates and see if I could make any of them. Totally undoable and unrealistic, but I like to think otherwise, if at least for a few minutes, lol. Oh well :) I hope everyone is having fun tonight. Thanks for all the pictures and videos that have been shared. If anything, we have those to reminisce and stuff...
  24. Speaking for some American females (or just me, perhaps), just judging Jonny, Guy, Will and Chris on the fact that they have accents and are by definition "foreign" gives them an advantage over other average guy here. Who cares if they're in a band or not, a guy with an accent always gets more girls attention than a guy without one. Especially an English accent. Is this true for anyone else? Also, Chris isn't joking every time he gushes about Guy: He is smokin' and even without Coldplay is an extremely attractive guy who you would *have* to check out if you saw him walking by. And he's Scottish. See? I always go back to the accent.
  25. So if anyone was curious as to what some of the crowd reaction was for "Viva La Vida," here you go: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSn5b99H-ZQ]YouTube - Viva La Vida for 29 Seconds.[/ame] I wasn't moving, by the way, but excuse the shaking. That shaking is the strength of the crowd just jumping. The floor was wooden or something where I was standing and the stomping was crazy.
