  1. Haha, they just showed a clip on the tele of Chris walking to the hospital. In that one picture that someone posted here it looks as if he's walking and one dude took a picture of him, but there were people taking pictures all around him. You can't blame him for looking pissed and bothered at that specific moment; they were blowing up his spot, lol ;)
  2. oh! congratulations! they seem like such a happy little family, and now it's a boy...nice :) soooo (no lying!) who's played "moses" already to pay their respects?
  3. Ahh! I liked this video A LOT. It's hilarious, and someone got it right when they said tongue-in-cheek. Kind of like the video for "Talk," but more out there. That whole damn thing was awesome...Jonny laughing, Guy moving a little more than he usually does, Chris wearing those shades and trying to do a different kind of dancing...awesome! I loved that the song and the video had NOTHING to do with each other. I got it. I always get the feeling that Coldplay could really give two craps about being the biggest band in the world right now, and they are kind of giving a signal to all those pretentious people who are "too cool" for them to sod off. I just love that one of my favorite bands is cool enough to joke around, and be silly when they feel like it. Makes me proud to be a Coldplay fan :)
  4. Thanks for all those recaps...sounded like the band was in good spirits. I love that bit about the town feeling the "Coldplay spirit" too...I know what you mean- it's awesome, lol. All the pictures kick ass too, thanks for sharing. Reading this stuff just gives me post-concert depression, but at least a bunch of people were having good times, no? ;)
  5. Yeah, the t-shirts start at $35. The Coldplay website actually has them, and I believe they are the same price on the website, so if you want to look beforehand, you can. There were some extreme ones, like the shirt that said 'Coldplay' in the sparkly crystals...that was pricey... There was this huge poster for $10, and keychains, and coffee mugs...Never seen so much merchandise at a show before!
  6. Hell yes! I don't know if could really choose a favorite B-Side, but "Such A Rush" has to be in the top, for sure. It's just perfect...don't know how else to describe it. I just love little bits of that song that make it the huge sound that it is. The irony in Chris singing "slow down, please" right before he speeds up and, the song just goes to another level. Amazing. I'm gonna shut up now, but I love that other people like the song too. For a while I was thinking that no one liked it!
  7. Yeah, I love it there..never been at night though. I found out about the area through the Dali museum..I love that place. I went once and was hooked and I go back every now and then. The walk to the pier is awesome (even the mini-aquarium is cute), but the little shopping area near the art museum is cool too...It's a nice place. I wouldn't mind living there. Anywho, that's off-topic now so...Yeah, maybe Coldplay checked out the Dali musem nearby ;) I could see them using some of that Dali imagery in the big screen at their live shows. Or Chris rocking the Dali hat- now that would make my year.
  8. Thanks for that bit, clockpolitiks! Kick ass news! Was that over there near the Dali museum, and the pier, by any chance? I've been there a few times and I love it. It really is a beautiful place. I wonder what it's going to look like. It's so cool, cause "The Hardest Part" is one of my top favorites from the album. You know though, Brits love Florida! They are there all the time! They are probably my favorite thing about living in Orlando. When I was younger, I used to love going to I-Drive because there was nothing but British people everywhere! Sometimes I would randomly spark up conversations with them...good times:) There's also a row of pubs on 192 in Kissimmee, but I've never had the guts to go inside one of them.... British people: I love you all. I really do. And you guys just cracked me up with all those Disney costume/Coldplay references.
  9. Did anyone read the Coldplayer? It was pretty obvious that the crowd was going crazy, even before the lights went down (I'm not gonna lie, I did the wave- but after the 3rd time it got silly...) and the band came on. And the Coldplayer also said that they were filming something in Florida? I thought the DVD was gonna be all Toronto...maybe it'll have a little documentary like the 2003 one? Should be good, I can't wait for that..
  10. I just remembered.. What was Chris going on about when he said that they deserved an honorable mention in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because they had to be the only band who used the word "juncture" in one of their songs. Was the word even "juncture?" is "juncture" even a word? :) Maybe it was "junction," but to be honest, I can't remember. I just remember he said it when he was giving a shout out to the people in the nose-bleeds.
  11. You know, whoever mentioned something about older people was right. I've never been to a show with such an older crowd. It actually scared me at first. I told my roomie that there was no way in hell that I was going to sit down during the whole show, and she said "well, you have to. you can't block the views of the people sitting down." That pissed me off! I was going to stand up no matter what! Screw the sleepy heads that wanted to sit down. Anywho, I was completely wronged! The crowd was awesome! I usually go to smaller shows, where the crowd gets into it and you can feel it. Well, even in this huge place in Orlando I felt it...Good crowd, I was stoked. I loved when Chris said "God gave you Sea and Disney World" referring to Sea World and Disney World..good stuff :) Jonny was getting a lot love from Chris that night too, which was cute to see. When he gave a shout-out to all the people sitting all the way in the upper level seats, I couldn't help but to laugh. He said he'd never seen seats that high :) Ahh, I'm feeling a mix of high/low right now. I wish I was there again, because it was best times. Kind of like the wait is over- I finally saw Coldplay and it kicked so much ass. I'm gonna shut up now.
  12. Hahaha! That's great because you really wanted one of those damn cameras, didn't you? Lucky... Sounds like Guy knew you deserved it. I still can't believe I wasn't there. At least it sounded like a good time.
  13. Whaaat? You think that parking is going to be so bad that I'll be better off with a parking pass? I was hoping to avoid that. I don't want to get there super early (since it's not like I have to save a spot or something), but I don't want to waste time looking for parking. Is the ticket probably the best way to avoid that?
  14. What? This breaks my heart. "Spies" is one of my top Coldplay favorites. And I must be really dumb when it comes to music because I love the bass in that song...Oh well :( And what's wrong with Everything's Not Lost. It sounds (and looks) great in the 2003 live album. Bad times.
  15. Wahoo! it's almost time...I hope it's fun. I'm driving up from Miami on Friday morning, and I was hoping to make it a Coldplay weekend, but it's not to be, I guess... But I was also wondering what was a good time to get there. In a perfect world, I run into Coldplay and I tell them to play "Such A Rush" or "Crests of Waves" and they do, because it's my birthday, hahahaha!
  16. Well, I've never paid so much for a band. I usually stick to the smaller venues, with reasonable prices. But this is Coldplay, and I've been waiting too long. It was worth it, although my college student wallet took a massive beating. owenrees_73, that is dedication! I can't say anything bad though, because I would probably do the same exact thing if I had the means. You're going to have so much fun. I'm kind of jealous! Have fun!
  17. That was so good. I don't think "Talk" can suck live, even if it tried. It would've been kicked up a notch if he would've grabbed the cell phone of some random celebrity and done his little cell phone bit. I loved it :D
  18. Ooh, thanks. I just PMed someone who has 2 pit tickets. I'm going to the Orlando show, because I have a place to stay (I live there when I'm not in the dorms at university) and it's on a Saturday. It's perfect. The Tampa show is on a Sunday, which I don't mind but I don't know how my roommate will feel about driving back to our university on a Sunday night...If she loved me, she would say "yes!" and we'd go and have fun. I love Coldplay too much too skip out on this. When one of your favorite bands comes to town to play 2 shows, you have to go! And I completely understand you getting there early. I would do the same thing :)
  19. Not bad at all.. I just found the topic..If it's do-able, then I'm there. It's on a sunday, and I go to university in Miami on a Monday. I'd still do it, if my roommate was up for it.
  20. Can you tell me how much you paid? If it's possible...you don't have to say.. I'm still in the air about Tampa, damnit. I want to go so bad, but I don't know if I should. I'm hoping to get lucky and give it a shot, but I'm not sure if I can. thanks, Jessica
  21. I wonder if pit tickets will be released right before the Tampa show... ...I want to hold out and give it a try, but what are the chances, right? I think that I'm for sure going to the Tampa show too, regardless of the seating, but it would be nice to be up there, with all the other fans enjoying it the same. It would be wrong not to go!
  22. I want to go to the Tampa show too, but how worth it will it be to get the lawn seats there? I wanted to go though, because from what I heard, this is a smaller venue than the rest of them. Is that also true? I figured I could make a weekend out of it..It could be fun.
