My video of Us Against The World [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwF5IVOg93I]Coldplay - Us Against The World @ Copenhagen, Parken Stadium 28-08-2012[/ame] I also have Speed of Sound, but it took ages to upload the first one, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to do the second

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
I've only seen one of the pop-ups once on ebay, it was sold for a bit more than 300£, so still less than the Safety EP, you would imagine it would be taken for more since there are less copies around, but the collector market's prices are weird :P

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
Do you mean the pop up version or just the acetate promo?

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
Having finally heard it live, and I mean live in person at a gig, I think that's the proper Runaways dimension. I wasn't blown away when I heard it last month, it didn't have the impact When You Were Young and Human had (positive the first, negative the second), but having everyone singing it from start to end was awesome. They also played Miss Atomic Bomb and From Here On Out, and I don't think I can express an opinion on them after only one listen, especially because the sound was quite crap, Brandon's voice was drowned by the instruments. I was hoping they played Flesh And Bone because I've read a lot of people absolutely loving it, but they didn't. I have another chance in 15 days, hope they'll play it then. These are my pics from the gig, if anyone's interested, I took some only till half of the show, then just enoyed it

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
She meant the acetate vinyls for Speed of Sound, not the cd or regular 10" version, which are not really hard to find

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
Well the songs were leftovers after all, it's a collection of b-sides, not an album per se. The only thing that I'm kind of annoyed by is the re-recording of Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll and Under the Gun, I like the original versions better, othe than that t was a great time when Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf finally came to life, considering all the talking about it because of the Murder Trilogy

Want to laugh ? Read this very old interview !
That's because Placebo were meant to chat with the fans, Coldplay did because Placebo didn't go

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
I'm sorry but this answer is incredibly dumb to me, and shows a lack of respect. Yes you have to be on the nose when speaking about China, especially if you're using Japanese influences, for god's sake, didn't they study the wars between the two countries? Apparently not. I suggest they put german and jewish characters for the next video since who cares about history.

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
Those two shows are warm ups for the Firefly Festival. They always do this, after not playing for a while, the choose small venues and offer presales for the Victims (I mean those subscribed to the Victims fan club). They should announce a European one too before starting the festival round in mid August. So don't expect anymore dates in the US until the end of Septmber, then they will do some small shows to start promoting the album, one will be in Las Vegas for sure according to Brandon. It is, Brandon mentioned this to a fan who met him in some place in Las Vegas By they way, it's Brandon's birthday today :nice:

The story behind the POC video.
off topic, meaning we're talking about things not strictly related with the theme of the topic :)

The story behind the POC video.
I wish it were easier to find his movies here, as I said in the other post all his movies I've seen are just beautiful and really strike a chord with me, they're what I call Art with an A. Also I really love how he always gives great importance to such innocent but at the same time strong women (or just girls, like in Not one less). But I'm OT now

The story behind the POC video.
I didn't even want to watch the video, but I did (mute of course) just because of this comparison with House of the Flying Daggers. I love all Zhang Yimou's movies I've seen, he's well known and got a great respect especially here in Venice where he won two golden lions. I just saw Raise the Red Lantern not too much time ago and it's a fantastic movie. His vision of art is aesthetically beautiful, aching, awe-inspiring, it's innocence and toughness together..this video is just bad, it's like when hollywood remake movies nowadays, they become crap, they're taken away all the meaning and art the originals have, they become standardized. Comparing the main female characters (slutty Rihanna and Zhang Ziyi) just makes me shiver  Ok, sorry for the rant, just wanted to state my opinion about it, I just think some things shouldn't be emulated if you risk to make it look cheap and laughable. I won't bother watching it again as I don't listen to the song, not a big deal :P

Pre 2008 concerts
You need to change the threads display options at the bottom of the section's main page Choose beginning in "from the" and you will have all the threads of section, including those for gigs before 2008. I think those from 2008 on are organised in the upper part just because each gig has its own thread, while it wasn't in the past :)

2013 shows- where are Coldplay playing next year?
Uhm, as far as I know they just had to replace Spies in Parachutes to release the album there, but there's no ban on the band, a bit like White Lies who played in China last week and they couldn't play Unfinished Business. Amber, I really hope they will come and play there one day

[NME] Coldplay's Chris Martin: 'Our flashing wristbands cost too much money'
You should ask those in charge of getting them back why boxes weren't available for this purpose, I have no idea, I was (and everyone else were) as puzzled as you about this. Also, the xylobands have a twitter logo, so they might be sponsored by twitter
-
[NME] Coldplay's Chris Martin: 'Our flashing wristbands cost too much money'
The message was not "if you don't want to keep them hand them back", but "please hand them back"..have no idea if they meant something else, but if indeed they did it wasn't worded right
-
[NME] Coldplay's Chris Martin: 'Our flashing wristbands cost too much money'
Maybe everything else is bullshit, but we were indeed asked to hand back the xylobands in Turin (through a message on the screens)..don't think anyone did, also because there were no boxes they could be put back in
