  1. hahaha!! I can imagine that in my head. Weren't Liverpool awful!
  2. hahaha! aww hometown gig for Chrissy :santa2: I dunno why but the two words Chris and Exeter conjure up images of him as a geeky hyper youngster with all his curly hair and bad shoes :p
  3. awww, the coldness is making the guys appreciate their fans more, hehe :nice: can't wait to see piccies!
  4. I wonder if a lot of the bidders are just random record store collectors with wads of cash :/ but they are probably after Chris' stuff more....
  5. I remember when you could buy the lithographs in the online shop a few years ago! (unsigned obviously) I wanna know if anyone from here gets anything :D
  6. Yeah, the Viva one is noiiice :) I can't believe how much people are paying :stunned: maybe some millionaires are spending some pocket money :( but good for the charity :nice:
  7. It is a bit depressing :( I'd love to own something from waay back, but I guess we'll never really know who wins stuff like the Parachutes globe (unless we have really rich members here, but the general consensus seems to be not, haha) Go Angie.... you must get one of J's guitars  yup, I'm Kara :nice:
  8. hiya Angie, Joe, Pris :) been into the auctions yet Angie? or waiting for the Jonny stuff?
  9. So pretty Jo! :nice: I think the bangs look great, kind of modern right now. but without looks just as nice :)
  10. I would love to own these shoes :wideeyed:
  11. The post office in my uni town used to have about 40 people in the queue, and people queueing to get into it beforre it opened. so so annoying.
  12. Your English on here seems fine though! You should consider it! :nice: You'd learn more as you go along, I had some German friends in my last year of uni. One of them wasn't great at the beginning of the year, but became so much better by the end. Ooooh. Im interested to see whats on offer :wink3: congrats on the Muse tickets both of you!
  13. On the radio here today was a debate about how long you have to wait in the post office (most people were saying 30mins). The guy was saying 'this is a truly British thing!', but clearly it isn't, how are ya Angie?
  14. awwww, thanks Cooky :) yeah, sorry for not introducing myself properly Antonia :nice:  how are your studies going then? do you get the chance to travel abroad at some point? (for study) I wish that I had done that sometimes.
  15. I wish that they did more apprenticeship-type jobs that gradually introduce young people into more jobs, it would be better. I think the problem is too many people think they have to go to university when it's not always the best route. I heard some universities in a lecture once, saying that their job is to encourage students to think more and not really train them to a high standard in a skill so much! oh well.... thats crazy making a woman promise such a thing! :shocked2: good luck Joe :nice:
  16. Yeah, enjoy the rest of your uni years. Perhaps it will be a different situation when you leave :nice: The thing that annoys me, is that no one seems to want to help younger people out. The jobs only want older people with the experience. bahhh. Thanks Joe. I have to put extra effort into job hunting :veryangry2: (my determined face, lol)
  17. It'll be ok! :D the thing I miss most from uni is being around loads of people my own age. Hm.... well, I like many areas of design, it's tricky. Recently I've been doing some magazine/editorial design but I also like illustration and photography as things on the side too.
  18. It seems to be true the whole world over! A few years ago, the government here would tell everyone 'go to university to get ahead in life!!!!!!! get a great job when you come out of uni!' and look where we are now :dozey: My friend is in Australia and finding it hard to get a job too. edit: hi Cooky! last time I talked to you was at Wembley/Dublin Castle/Trafalgar Sq I believe :stunned:
  19. I remember doing all the stuff about medicine in some of my history classes, all the Hippocratic Oath and Greek stuff, the four humours haha  ok, so it's obviously a lot more than that, but that was the origins I think. At least you're going into a subject that is useful :D no one needs any more graphic designers  well not right now anyway. any nice plans for Christmas? edit: alwight' Pete? hows it going? oh, we can talk about Spurs without distraction! :cheesy:
  20. Ah cool.... are you far into the course or is this when you're first starting it? (sorry, forgive my not knowing much about the American college/school stuff :p ) I did Graphic Design. Its proving exceeeeedingly hard to get a job in though. :disappointed:
