The Damon Albarn thread.
 Wow. How sweet. You could imagine that being quite accurate so, who knows? It would be nice if that was real. Wait, Damon had a thing with Mel C? It does really show how strong their relationship is that it has lasted for this amount of years, and that it works. I definately think of them as two separate people, as well as a couple, and you can imagine that it makes their relationship stronger as a result of them having their own independence and being able to carry on their career, even if it means being apart for a bit. Nice picture Spam too! You find all the goodies Liz

Ah! Have an amazing time, its hard not to, to be honest  can't wait to read another review. :D Yes I loved Damons facial expressions while playing the xylophone too :laugh3: he takes it so seriously as well, I can't help but find it the opposite, rather comical  Yea I definately did! Exactly, its just like this amazing fusion of musical styles from different cultures.

I totally agree, Demon Days is just so perfect, and the stained glass visual is so wonderful to go with it, exactly, if you go to a particular band show you have to expect a bit of everything that they do. I havent seen these videos yet from radio 1, thankyou! I shall watch them tomorrow, bit late for me now

^^^^ Daleys hair LMAO :laugh3: Damon looks wonderful though  So yea, I shall attempt to put everything together now from my Gorillaz show  its not half as exciting as some of your experiences seeing as some of you met people from Gorillaz but I'll do my best :laugh3: Anyways, I got into VIP, which was pretty much like a VIP Lounge area, a fancy bar and eating area with alot of rich, snobby people from what I saw  definately not the likelihood of any of Gorillaz turning up in there. I had a standing ticket so I went through and saw a bit of Little Dragon supporting before Gorillaz came on, she sounded pretty good and I may have to look into one of their albums now, did anyone else see them? I'm not sure who they had as support elsewhere on the tour.... The visuals for the show were so amazing! Obviously I'd seen them before on TV from live performances that they had done, but its just seeing that screen in front of you and in the atmosphere of the venue and with the music. When I first started listening to Gorillaz for me it was all about Damon and his talent, but seriously, I appreciate Jamie so much more than I used to, just all those different visuals, bring so much to the show, and allows the animated characters to still be part of the show, and people can see this large, instant imagery, no matter where they are in the venue. Damon seemed so happy! But never did I feel like the show was all about him, it seemed so, equal and neutral, if you see what I mean, even though its essentially his music, the show seemed to be more about a whole experience and idea, and giving that to the audience, rather than showcasing himself and having a group of people behind him. It seemed very much about a collective of people. Damon though, darting about the stage, and talking to the audience so so much, and I would like to think he was extra happy too, not just because of Gorillaz, but because he was home and he could see his family :nice: I personally cannot see Damon giving up Gorillaz anytime soon, he seems so in his element and loving every moment of it, what does anyone else think? My highlights, well pretty much every song was a highlight for me seeing as I'm a keeno fan  but especially Kids With Guns, Dirty Harry, Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood, Demon Days. But there is too many really! I have never really loved Dirty Harry as a song but I really loved that live, the more popular songs were more enjoyable because the crowd got into it more, it is a tad annoying that they played amazing album tracks that not everyone would have known or loved but there you go, not everyone listens to albums religiously I suppose! I loved the fact that Daley came on :laugh3: the song got a good reception so hopefully it will do well. I really hate how the show went so fast, seriously it felt like 1 hour not 2 hours. Damon talked about how people cannot imagine how much organisation goes into putting them shows together, you could just tell how proud he is of the whole project :nice: and apart from the fact that I'm rather short and tall people got in the way sometimes, it was really amazing and I want to go again :wacky: Yea, I think thats everything

The Jeff Buckley appreciation thread (November 17, 1966 - May 29th , 1997)
I still listen and come back to a few of the songs from Grace again and again like Grace, Lover, You Should Have Come Over, Last Goodbye, Eternal Life. It is quite frustrating to never have known what he could have achieved had he made and released more albums.

Nice to meet you too! I'm Kelly :) you must of went to the same show as me yes? I went to yesterdays show, on the tuesday. [quote=Lizzybear;4542720 Btw isn't Kelly's show today? :surprised: Where is she? I hope she gets to meet Damon with her VIP pass!! Aww, thanks guys for remembering about my show! :nice: OK, this is proof that this thread really is the best little Damon community on the internet  everyone of you is just so nice and thoughtful! I shall write my memories of the gig up a little later on, in the gorillaz thread probs  BUT, alas I did not meet Damon, or any of them :( but I enjoyed the show massively and I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms atm :laugh3: I mean, can't I just have a slot every week where I can go and see Gorillaz for the night, is that too much to ask? :laugh3:

Its so funny to imagine Smoggy getting mad at Damon for doing things like that. Stupid people sometimes have to act like that in pits, I know they are having a good time but its when it intrudes on other peoples experience badly..... Wow! What an awesome find! You don't sound like a moron, you sound very sweet! I love the contrast between yours and Jamie's accents  :laugh3: Amazing
