  1. :D Glad you're enjoying it.
  2. Mew-se
  3. Righto. Deets and shit. Forgive the track 12/track 7 fuck-up. I made this really early in the morning, and missed that out. :) 1. Manic Street Preachers - Faster I hate purityHate goodness I don't want virtue to exist anywhere I want everyone corrupt With these words, the song kicks in. A fitting opener to this mix, and a great song, the best track off The Holy Bible. 2. The Boxer Rebellion -Flashing Red Light Means Go With a name like that, you'd think this would have been an obvious opener, but Faster won out. One of the best songs of the year so far. I urge all of you to check this lot out, as they really are amazing. 3. Grammatics - Time Capsules And The Greater Truth Brilliant acoustic-y song, and a nice contrast to the rush of the first two tracks. 4. Puressence - Sharpen Up The Knives A tense, not to mention intense, four minutes. It is indeed 90s material - from '97's Only Forever, incidentally my favourite album of all time. Again, massively underrated and overlooked. 5. 65daysofstatic - Radio Protector One of my favourite songs ever written. A truly stunning piece of work, driven by who I consider to be the best drummer on the planet. 6. Johnny Foreigner - The End And Everything After Favourite band around right now. Yes, the vocals aren't everyone's cup of tea, and clearly not yrs (:P), but you have to admit, it fits well after Radio Protector. Another slow song right after would have killed the thing, I think. 7. La Roux - Tigerlily Yep, you guessed correctly. It is indeed La Roux. The vocals are certainly easier on the ear than some of her other stuff, and the chorus is, quite simply, magnificent. Favourite pop song of 2009. 8. Deastro - Pyramid Builders Yay for instrumentals! The debut, Moondagger, is a brilliant electro-pop album in the style of MGMT and Merriweather Post Pavilion-era Animal Collective. Do yrself a favour and check it out. 9 + 10 - Wild Beasts - Two Dancers (Parts 1 and 2) See what I did there? :D Great song, and yes, as you said, the drumming!! These are the title tracks of their second album, which is out now, and is very good indeed. 11. Biffy Clyro - Liberate The Illiterate / A Mong Among Mingers Nice little mini-epic we have here, setting things up nicely for the closer. You'll notice the song is made up of several 'movements' - very interesting song structure. Check them out, they are a band diverse as fuck. 12. The Longcut - Tell You So I love how the song builds throughout, and the bass takes centre stage with that riff. Manchester band (Puressence are too), who released their second LP, Open Hearts, as a digital download in June. Seek it out and listen, well worth yr money. http://rapidshare.com/files/269708978/cpm.rar.html Enjoy, everyone. Someone do me a favour and re-up it to Mediafire or something when it reaches its limit. :)
  4. Um, this. It's close though.
  5. This is classic Mark right here.
  6. The whole thing they did with New Terrain is fucking amazing. The 'if you reverse the song, you get a different song' thing. Album's in my top 5 of the year now. :D
  7. It's 3:36pm here, as I'm typing this. @HappyPickle: Never took much notice of yr av before. Even though it's huge.
  8. What fucking time is it where you are, Crest!? BREAKFAST!? Oh! Moustache cat!
  9. Saw this yesterday. Truly stomach-churning stuff. What the fuck were they thinking letting such a person go!? HE FUCKING KILLED 270 PEOPLE. I just can't fucking comprehend this... :(
  10. No prob. AM top 5 at the moment Dance Little Liar Brianstorm The View From The Afternoon Perhaps Vampires Is A Bit Strong But... Do Me A Favour Oh yeah, e-high five for member title. :D
  11. Quite good, rocking out to the new Arctic Monkeys album. :D Busy weekend ahead.
  12. Granted, it's not a bad song by any stretch of the imagination (they haven't yet made or covered one :P). And yes, of course. Sketchead is up in the thread. Oh yeah, can I just say, awesome new logo is awesome. And and AND, Dance Little Liar's my new favourite AM song.
  13. Certainly not the best AM b-side, but not my least favourite either - that would go to that Bad Woman cover off Teddy Picker.
  14. I have it. It's a nice enough track, good and short, just over two minutes. I could upload it... :P Check the thread in Multimedia in a few mins.
  15. Nah, it's not, just a really fucking abrupt start, like, 'what the shit, that doesn't sound right'. That's the way it's meant to sound though.
  16. Tickets reserved and all that stuff. Decided not to take my chances with the fan pre-sale, after what happened last time. Fiasco doesn't even begin to cover it. Oh yeah, OLD STUFFS.
  17. Get out of here you fucking Brit. :P Nah, but seriously, hi.
