fun with google image search
this should be a semi-interesting way to kill time. go to google image search, type in a random word that comes into your head, then post the first picture that comes up that isn't either obscene or a red "x" or something. "foodstuffs:"

Our Sweet Love
- Grunge music
I fail to understand how it's somehow Nirvana's fault that lame-ass take themselves way too seriously bands like Nickleback appeared. Besides, Nickleback doesn't sound like grunge- it sounds like wanky rock'n'roll- unfortunately, that's always around. :( It's a little thing called "sarcasm." ;)- What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?
The Beta Band - "The House Song"- The *Official* NHL Playoffs Thread
Things learned today: Bryan McCabe and Ed Belfour are HUGE ASSHOLES. "Hey I have an idea! Instead of playing better to prevent goals, let's take cheap shots at Donald Brashear's back while he celebrates his goal!" Anyway, Robert Esche is still my God.- The *Official* NHL Playoffs Thread
*looks at clock* LET'S GET IT ONNNNNNNNNNNNN i'll be back in three hours with a glass of champagne to celebrate. :P and better fashion sense? please. look at this and just try to tell me it isn't the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen. ok, you've got me with that one.- Your instruments and equipment
all right let's see. guitar: - Guild D40 acoustic (I think it's 1974 but I'm not sure and don't feel like getting it out to look it up or anything) - Fender American Telecaster (1997) - various cheap electrics that I bought for $50 so I could rewire them, convert them to Baritones, destroy them onstage, and other stupid things. - Fender Stage 160 amp (solid state, 160W, 2x12) - Boss DD-5 Digital Delay - Dano Chorus - Dano Tremolo - Dano Distortion (all the Danelectro pedals have stupid names that I can never remember - Electro-Harmonix Smallstone Phaser - Marshall Jackhammer distortion/overdrive - Dunlop Crybaby Wah - Ebow bass: - Fender Jazz Bass keyboard: - Roland EM-15 Electric Piano - MicroKorg synthesizer/vocoder others: - Zoom MRT-3 Drum Machine - Harmonica in C Major - Yamaha Eb Alto Saxophone - various percussion instruments that I use once per show, if that (egg shaker, tambourine, bongos, etc.) i think that's it, without getting into mics, tuners, capos, and such.- effects for bass...?
yeah, if you're going to do that you really need to have two amps with an a/b switch though, because if you just kick in the wah pedal, all of a sudden there's no defined low end. same goes for distortion, which is why you need a really beefy distortion if you want to run your bass through it.- Bass
yeah, i hate how people think that bass is easier to play than guitar. it's true that most people could pick up a bass and learn the basics easier than a guitar, but if you actually want to be good it's just as hard. (and i consider "good" to be based more on melodic sensibility or how much you can add to the music than how fast you can play notes, because there are lots of people who can play really fast that i think suck)- THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
that's kind of what i thought about it too. where was the context? if i hadn't actually known the story, all i'd see is a guy being brutally murdered for two hours. i would think that if the purpose of the movie was to reinforce people's faith in jesus (or potentially bring new people to it), the time would be better spent showing how he lived, not how he died.- Evanescence!!
well, as my mother always told me, if i can't say anything nice... :P *bites tongue*- Our Sweet Love
I thought about a summer day And how the time just floats away Pretty things like incense and flowers I wanna make them part of Our sweet love Could last forever Our sweet love Could last forever I thought about a winter night And how I’d like to hold you tight Candlelight the warmth of a fire We could make them part of Our sweet love Honey it’s heaven Our sweet love Could last forever Sweet love sweet love Like a child with his new toy My heart is filled with joy for Our sweet love Honey it’s heaven Our sweet love Lord knows I love her so I feel it down inside my soul A precious love like this can flower There’s nothing in this world like Our sweet love Should last forever Our sweet love Could last forever Our sweet love Could last forever Our sweet love Could last forever *sigh* surely one of the loveliest songs ever written. sorry, i don't usually do dumb threads like this. :P- What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?
