don't really care for the other ones, but explosions in the sky are definitely one of the best live acts i've seen in the past year, although i don't really like their new album as much as "those who tell the truth, etc."

ATDI kicked ass. then they formed two bands so that one half could play boring, uninspired jock rock (sparta), and the other half could play boring, self-indulgent prog-rock (the mars volta). man i wish they would get back together, but that's never going to happen. when i first got the mars volta album i thought it was great, but it wore out it's welcome really fast, and then i saw them live, and they were awful. anyway, let's all remember back when at the drive in was ready to take over the world.
