i don't hear any of these "rough edges" :huh: rush of blood is definitely a super-polished, glossy, major-label album. you want rough edges, go buy a pavement album. :P but yeah i agree, great song. :D

how ripped off did you get? depends on what kind of guitar, i guess, but this store certainly sounds like a place i would never go to. i'm too tired (and drunk) to follow all the math to figure out how much money you wasted, but i'd say you ought to tear this guy a new asshole.

hehe yeah i definitely thought of the beatles immediately after seeing this thread's title. and apparently that wasn't an accident. ok that's all i got.

yeah... i have that one too. :P i don't know, they're ok, i guess, but radiohead are held to a different standard than other bands.

i see nobody's come to starsailor's defense yet. :lol: and as far as radiohead is concerned (everybody's got their two cents about radiohead), i don't really think they're anywhere near as creative and innovative as people say they are. i mean, what was on kid a that wasn't done before? nothing. for all the weird talk it got about being "inaccessible" or whatever, it's really a pretty straightforward album, at least compared to, say, an album by aphex twin (one of the more obvious influences heard in some spots on kid a and more of an innovater than radiohead will ever be). they just keep people guessing, which i think fuels it more than anything else. plus aphex twin, autechre, etc., never had anywhere near the commercial success that radiohead has had. that said, they still write a hell of a lot DAMN good songs, no matter what style they choose to take on, and it's my opinion that they're pretty much the best band the world has seen since the beatles broke up.

well the last time they had an album's worth of quality unreleased stuff, most of it came out on AROBTTH... so i don't see why this new stuff won't be on the next album. (obviously some of it will get ditched and probably end up as a b-side just because of fans asking them about them all the time. like animals, which i asked jonny about before AROBTTH even came out, hehe)

ah hell, looks like they've run out of new songs they recorded and are feeding us worthless remixes which are always going to be worthless even if remixed by four tet or christian vogel. now that i think about it, i feel really ripped off by the HTTT b-sides. none of them are really any good. which is even more disappointing because of the fact that it's radiohead, a band whose b-sides are usually outstanding. oh well. hehe, even when we're talking about the best band in the world, i can still find something to complain about. :rolleyes:

yeah i just realized how infrequently i actually listen to coldplay yesterday when i put on parachutes and realized it had been months since i listened to it. :confused:

ah god i hate to be the jackass, but yeah, not only is this in the completely wrong forum, there's already a thread about this in the forum this is supposed to be in. (as pointed out by ginger) :D

i think thanksgiving is great. it's all the excuse i need to stuff myself stupid with food and watch football and be lazy. all right it's not that different from most sundays, but still. :rolleyes:
