  1. Well, sorry, but I have to agree that if they were going to drop a song, then Ring of Fire would have been the one to drop since it's just a cover and not their song and the Johnny Cash thing is wearing a little thin. They've had 18 songs on the setlist for most of this winter USA tour, by the way. They just recently changed X&Y to What If and dropped How You See The World. But, yes, in the end, I am just soooooo excited to see them in Philly. So, really, I'm not complaining too loudly--in fact barely at all really. They could sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and I'd be thrilled. But I have loved both versions of HYSTW from the first time I heard them, so I really was looking forward to hearing it and I'm disappointed that I probably won't (guess I can keep my fingers crossed). But, somehow I think I'll live!! (And just fyi, I think U2 played for about 2 and a half hours when I saw them in Dec. The biggest difference being that they played two encores, not one.) I'm happy though with 17-18 songs from Coldplay (though who wouldn't want to hear more), and I certainly want Chris to take care of his voice too and not overdo it.
  2. I see your points, but it is a bummer that they're shortening the setlist at the very end of this tour. I personally was very much looking forward to How You See The World in Philly, and now it looks like they probably won't perform it. Sorry if we're being babies, but sometimes things just suck.
  3. White Shadows has taken the place of X&Y recently, but in the past few concerts How You See The World has just been dropped with no replacement. I was really looking forward to HYSTW in Philly! I hope they add it back!
  4. From what I understand, there are indeed two versions of the Japanese X&Y. You need to buy the one with the blue X&Y cover to get HYSTW as the hidden bonus track. The one with the white cover has Pour Me. I bought the blue one, and it does have HYSTW as the hidden bonus track.

I hear you guys too...... It's even worse over on the Coldplay boards.
  6. If it were your band, wouldn't you feel like splitting up if you were constantly being torn to pieces by everyone no matter what you did? Maybe a break will help them weather this storm, but I think they've had to put up with way too much crap since releasing X&Y. We can only hope that they feel some love at their concerts, because I don't know where else Coldplay can feel appreciated these days. Certainly not from the media or "music critics"--and not even from their fansites messageboards either. They've got to be feeling overwhelmed and under personal attack. I love them to bits, but I certainly can understand why they are having a hard time coping with all this B.S. and are talking about "long breaks." I personally think we can only hope that time will heal their wounds and that the future is looking more and more uncertain with each passing day for Coldplay.
  7. If I were Coldplay, and especially Chris, I would feel like I could never make everyone happy--even my fans, that everyone is always criticizing something, that everyone expects too much of me, and that it's impossible to be in the media spotlight and just be the human beings you are. I honestly don't know how they take all the pressure as well as they do. Chris is a little quirky, big deal. That's what I love about him, and it kind of goes with being a gifted musician. Most talented artists and other geniuses are a little quirky after all. I for one really wish everyone would give the band a break and stop putting everything they do and say under a microscope. :(
  8. Debs also said in the Q&A on Coldplay.com that the video for Hardest Part has already been planned and that it is different from any others Coldplay has done before.......
  9. It was in the Q&A section on Coldplay.com. At first Debs wrote that she didn't know if she should say, and then she wrote again and said that What If was originally planned to be the 4th single. But she didn't go into why it was changed to Hardest Part. But for some reason it sounded like a last minute change to me.
  10. The files worked for me Ted, so I guess it's something specific to each person's computer. Wish I could help, but I'm useless with computer stuff guys. Thanks so much for all your time and effort Ted!
  11. In the Q&A section on the Coldplay website today, Debs said that What If was almost the one released as the fourth single....... Wonder what made them change their mind?
  12. God, it (Coldplay breaking up) even made People magazine! http://people.aol.com/people/articles/0,19736,1160138,00.html
  13. He did it because he had kind of a bet with Chris Moyles from Radio 1 (Chris was on his show on Feb. 14). Very funny if you listen to Chris Moyles' show and understand the whole background. (Chris actually worked the Michael Bolton lyric in twice during Square One at the Brits!)
  14. Thanks so much Ted! I can't wait to see your videos! :)
  15. Victaniac ! That makes me feel better!
  16. The guys can take as much time as they need to come out with their next album or to tour again, in my opinion. They've certainly been working their butts off touring and deserve a break, and it's their creative process to come up with their next album, so who am I to judge how long that takes? BUT......It's just scary to keep hearing these rumors that they're unhappy with each other and want to break up. Then when Chris says "you won't be seeing us for a very long time, and we mean it," it does make your heart kind of stop for a minute. The problem is celebrities always deny, deny, deny rumors, and then so many of them turn out to be true (Anniston-Pitt-Jolie for example). I just hope the guys are still happy with each other and with their work. I can see how the negativity that has been hounding them after releasing X&Y may be getting to them...... All these rumors about Coldplay splitting up are definitely getting to me! The very thought makes me
  17. Left would let you see more of Chris's face than right would when he is seated at his piano. But he spends alot of time moving about, so it's not like right is bad really. And you always have the big screens behind the stage showing close ups too while they're performing......
  18. I guess Raleigh was a good venue for getting to the front. I got there at a decent time, but not really all that early. I was just off to the side of the center of the pit at the front. I nearly peed my pants I was so happy! Wonderful night, and we got to sing Happy Birthday to Jonny. I hope the crowd enjoys Chris's birthday on March 2 as much as we did Jonny's that night!
  19. Thanks for the welcome! :) There's something about Will that just looks so very kind. But I really was taken back by his sweetness to the little girl in the pit that night. Good memory!
  20. Will seems so sweet. Thought you guys might enjoy my small "Will" story as Valentine's Day ends. I was in the pit in Raleigh at Coldplay's concert last Sept., and there was a young ten year old girl who came later and stood behind me. So, of course, I let her get in front of me so she could see the stage better, and Will stooped way down and deliberately handed her his camera, past the arms and hands of many fans who were trying to grab it. She had such a huge (and a little terrified) smile on her face! I know she'll always remember his kindness to her.
