A shockingly beautiful, moving, touching story. It's set in the 1930's when the so-called half-castes (half aboriginal-half white children) were separated from their families and were transported to be trained for domestic servants. The big plan was to bread them out. They thought that within 3 generations all the signs of their 'Aboriginality' would disappear. The film is about three girls being taken away, their escape and their 1500 miles long journey home. ON FOOT!
It's really sad and moving. For me, as a European, this worls was hidden and was never taught about this in school. I see it as a Down Under semi-Holocaust... and it was the case until only 30 years ago!
I recommend it to everyone, a beautiful, but very sad movie!!
