2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
My ticket has gone now to a good home, thanks to the mods for all their help with tickets on the thread here :) So sorry the ticket has gone now. I wasn't able to send a message to you, it was the same problem. Maybe other people also cannot PM you - probably it's best when you send a message to include an email address. I also tried to send you an email through this website but perhaps that didn't work either (?) You could also try scarletmist.com for face value tickets. Good luck I hope you can get one and enjoy this incredible show :)

There are helicopters everywhere in London these days, it's the jubilee and then the Olympics.

Well, there weren't any cameras that you'd expect to see for a filming that I saw (?) just the usual 'screen' cameras on the light rigging etc. I walked around a lot and didn't see any of those signs...maybe they just filmed part of the stadium? (Or maybe I am too oblivious when I am waiting expectantly for Warning Sign :laugh3:)

I didn't see anything apart from the regular cameras for the screens. And no signs about filming (but then I didn't see any signs that smoking wasn't allowed either but very few people did!)

He sang singing in the rain at one point, I don't remember when. I amazed my sister because I said he should play it and then of course he did ;) :laugh3:

It was an amazing setlist Jen, flowed really well :) Noticeably too short by a couple of songs, even by their usual standards, and no Politik (the one glaring omission) but still...brilliant. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: So glad Tash got a setlist  You might want to check what time the collection place shuts, I thought I read somewhere it was 8pm (?)

I'd love to read it! Bugger getting up though, I tried that and am going back to bed!! :laugh3: Did you see Brian Eno at the C-stage? I thought I did before the concert started, though I didn't like to stare too much. It's a shame us people with GA who weren't in the front didn't make more of an effort to meet up, it's always nice to say 'hi'. Another reflection - these past two London gigs seem like a very different crowd...the only Viva t-shirt I saw last night was mine. No Coldplaying tees at all :/

Kitticus, so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend, but what a way to have him remembered. I'm certain there will be plenty of videos appearing of that very special moment :) Comicforce - sorry to hear it was so much trouble getting home. Which stations did they close? I'd had a feeling about that, so we made sure to get GA seats on the Tube side, and as soon as the last song finished I legged it, and luckily was sitting in a bar in Covent Garden by 11. The main thing was just getting away. I have to say I was incredibly impressed with the stadium - better than Wembley in my opinion, much as it pains me to say anything good about Arsenal, but it's true. The whole organisation was very, very poor though. There was no queue management at our entrance, no barriers, and when the gates opened late a group of idiots from the end of the snaking queue (who'd just got there) cut across and were almost the first in line - and everyone else from the end panicked and followed them. I'm sure the ones who'd queued all day got in quickly as they were right at the front, but the rest of us were completely screwed over. We were going for GA seats so it was no problem for us, but we were really upset for the people who wanted to stand close - so unfair. When we spoke to the stewards inside about it the chief steward didn't even know that there hadn't been barriers (?!) They were very apologetic but that wouldn't be much consolation for someone who'd lost their front-row place. The stewards and staff were mostly exceptionally friendly, but everything seemed to go wrong - even buying a drink was like being in the middle of a Keystone Cops film. Everything was basically set up the same way it would be for a football match, which it obviously wasn't! I am so glad to have incredible club level seats for Monday. The view will be even better from there as it's slightly higher but just as close as we were last night. And you have your own toilets and bars as well as a reserved seat. One enduring memory of the night is all those poor people who have never seen such a tall man dancing so wildly  Being in an aisle seat there were quite a few collisions - apologies to anyone who sports Tonsu-shaped bruises this morning :laugh3: :\ Oh, and Speed of Sound :shocked2: Never my favourite, but WHAT a version :sunny:

You can indeed! The folk behind me had some, and dropped one just under me. I picked it up and handed it back, but I didn't realise it was leaking. When I looked down there was glowing paint all over the floor...I'm sure it's highly toxic and not to be messed around with, but, wow.

Oh, and Princess of China...dear god. I would pay the entrance fee to hear that alone (I would pay twice the entrance fee to hear Warning Sign though). I think with these recent gigs Coldplay have cemented their place as the best touring band in the World. Unbelievable.

Just home... My 17th or so time seeing the band stretching back to 2003, the second time hearing Warning Sign EVER (and WHAT a version!!). Lovers in Japan, Violet Hill (my goodness they have turned that song into something almost career-defining) and even the songs I'm not so keen on (like Up in Flames, Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Paradise) they nailed so hard it's absolutely impossible not to be swept along... The shortest set I think I've ever seen them play (and I often complain when they do that), but every moment was so very special you cannot say a bad word. Simply perfection. I promised I would never see them live again if they ever dropped Politik, and that is stiil their best song for me, but in a set so well-executed, with pyrotechnics like you couldn't believe...I am still in shock and awe. The intro to Yellow, and then playing the whole song afterwards as well...so stunning there are no words. I feel humbled tonight. After their somewhat lacklustre showing in London in December I lost faith. Tonight they gave me everything I could have dreamed of, and much, much more - they've completely broken my expectations. The Best Gig I've Ever Been To (Probably). Sorry can't sat much more than that - I am in shock at what this band have become. Unbelievable.

In my experience, for some reason Chris always sounds worse on radio broadcasts than he does at the gigs, so I'm not worried :) Off now for sure to avoid setlist spoilers, night all, enjoy! :sunny:

SQUARE ONE? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o Unbelievable - if they don't play this tomorrow or Monday I will be heartbroken... I shall have to leave the thread now to avoid more setlist spoilers. Have a great night everyone :nice: <edit> Oh I see  That would be simply amazing - Square One into MX/Hurts Like Heaven. Still, time for me to be off, night all!

PoC Chart Activity
Well, for me PoC is their most powerful song (which does not mean best!) since Politik so if getting to number one means they're more likely to play it bring it on :)

Why do charts matter anymore (honest question)?

The stadium doesn't have a roof, and is in a bright part of London (the stadium is especially illuminated). Wembley is in a much darker part of London and it still never got dark dark when they played there, all night. I'm sure it'll be dark enough for the bands, and personally think they'll be wonderful at the start when it's dusk. But if you're expecting pitch black at any point, you'll be disappointed.

Coldplay get loads of celebs at their gigs - the bald guy was in classic 80s film The Goonies: <edit> Just joking! Sorry bald guy if you read this, I couldn't resist!!

Well it's ten here now and still not dark, at half nine it was pretty light still, and London is much lighter than here in the countryside because of the light pollution. If there's cloud cover it'll be much darker. But it's not going to be a pitch-black show for most of it, if at all.
