2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
Hey guys :) I still have one spare seated ticket for Monday at the Emirates. They're really great seats (block 61 and club level, so just above the GA seating but only a few rows back - get a great seat without having to turn up early! Club level also have better facilities I think like more leg room etc). Face value was £75 but I'm open to offers :) I'm sure I can get the money back from other sites, but would prefer this great ticket to go to a Coldplayer, and have someone nice and passionate about the band (like me!) to sit next to :sunny: If I don't get any decent offers in the next day or two unfortunately I'll have to think about listing it elsewhere... Cheers :)

Why does everyone hate 'The Hardest Part'?
I've always thought (and said) that it's one of the best songs on that album. I was so upset they never played it live during that era, so it was incredible when it appeared in such a lovely form during the later Viva gigs :)

10:30 or 10:40 (very latest I should think) :)

[4-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Emirates Stadium, London, UK
It'll finish 1hr35 or 1hr40 (at the most) after they come on, and they're usually a few minutes later than planned at the big London shows. For absolute peace of mind I think you need to leave before or during the last song, then you'll avoid the rush completely and should be able to hop on the first tube :)

[2-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Emirates Stadium, London, UK
It'd be madness to start a London show after 9, they always aim for this start time! A large proportion of the crowd come from outside London and need to get home, they'd be playing the last couple of songs to a half-empty stadium if they started later, not what they want at all! They're usually a few minutes late, but they'll be on by nine I'm sure. And a few minutes here or there will make no difference to the daylight really.

[NME] Coldplay's Chris Martin: 'Our flashing wristbands cost too much money'
They could always charge ten pounds more per ticket this tour than the last one to more than cover the cost...oh wait!

Song you're most looking forward to...

[2-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Emirates Stadium, London, UK
At Wembley I arrived half an hour before the gates opened and had the pick of really great seats (although a friend was already waiting for me). Most people there at that time wanted to get the standing I think. But I think the gates opened at Wembley a couple of hours earlier (?) I'm going to this gig and will be doing the same thing (half an hour before gates) if I can. But I may not be able to  In which case I may be asking for some kind person to keep a couple of seats for me on here

2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
Hey guys, It looks like I have a spare Club Level ticket for Monday, block 61, as the person I was going with has sadly had to drop out. This is a pretty great block as it's on the side not too far back from the stage, and just above the GA seating, so the view of everything will be amazing, but unlike the GA seating you don't have to get there when gates open to get great seats! If you want a seat I honestly don't think you'll get many better :) Cost was £75 + fee, but I will consider offers. Please get in touch asap. Cheers!

Dissappointment with MX
Completely agree with the OP. I've seen them 16+ times over nine years, and for me MX is utterly, and desperately, disappointing. I'm certain I'm wrong, but I just feel like there's nothing left to hope for from this band right now, so I'm giving up. I think they tried to make a REALLY cohesive album (with the career-defining capitals at the fore!) - the coming-together of everything they've been moving towards. Well, it's cohesive enough, but (in many places) it's light, superfluous, and resembles cheap tat imho. And it's cohesive and consistent enough that for the first time ever I don't want to listen to it over and over and over again :( That's quite amazing for me when I actually consider it has three of their most amazing and ground-breaking songs ever (Hurts Like Heaven, Charlie Brown and UatW). With those I feel like they reached a whole new level - unbelievable and inspirational; a true evolution of what they've produced before - even if Eno's production renders them less than their live versions. Princess of China is probably their most dramatic and powerful song since Politik imo (powerful dynamically and acoustically, rather than in the emotions it provokes a la Lovers in Japan, 42, et al). But it's a Chris Martin/US popstar collaboration, not a Coldplay song. I don't mean 'popstar' in any derogatory sense whatsoever here - it just sounds like Chris and Chris/Kanye and anyone similar. Hell it could be Timberland, Timberlake or Timberforest and I'd never know the difference. I absolutely LOVE it, but 'Coldplay' it is not :( Paradise is an incredible pop song in the X-Factor style. Ever-increasing orgasms of light and drama over what is, essentially, nothing at all. Again, I really like it, but it's not Coldplay. On the radio in the car? Cool enough. On the CD player in the car? Only once, and never again. I still cannot believe we waited over three years for this (largely) pap piece of plastic. VLV was a concert of colours, feeling and emotion; experimentation, brave risks, edginess, the unpredictable; a band pushing their limits. MX largely shows a comfortable band getting complacent and appearing to snuggle in for the ad money to roll in. I can only guess Chris has got nothing left to get really passionate about, so he just pretends (hence the meaningless ciphers). Eno pushed them last time, but this time it looks like he pushed them into what he wants them to be. Up In Flames was for me the only chance they took on the disc (apart from PoC), and it fails where the latter was a triumph, not because it's a bum song (it's not, it's ok) but because they pinned so much on it (the new Fix You - come on?! :o) Total complacency. I could go on and on, but I won't. The old album's dead, but there isn't yet a successor. We're left in limbo and I guess won't know until their next album in three to four years if there's something to take over. I'm not hanging around for it anymore... In Coldplayland, I guess we're now (temporarily?) a republic. And, you know what? I don't much care. These guys have lost me.

Basically it's one of the producers (Dan I guess- ?) trying to be clever and rip off John Leckie's work on Mersey Paradise by Stone Roses. It just ruins the whole song for me.

You must have a (uniquely) glitched copy then. Please sell it to me!!

You're right, and I think the band were crazy for including it, it totally ruins the song for me.

When will twitter become the next myspace?

A Couple Months Later...
It's a pretty rubbish song by Coldplay standards imvho, be it studio, live or whatever. It's just a poor song.

When will twitter become the next myspace?
First sentence - completely agree. Unfortunately though, it can be used as a way to bully 'from distance' (even 'invisibly' if - like me - you didn't know those things were being said about you). Second sentence - unfortunately it is the way the world works now, mainly for networking, (some parts of the world very much more than others of course) :(

When will twitter become the next myspace?
I suppose I should be totally honest and that I've been told I will need a Twitter account in the future (for some possible media work) "because it's the way things work now". I.E. it's as much a part of life these days as a fixed postal address used to be. I will also say I am pretty sick of one Coldplaying mod taking out her frustrations on certain people from here on Twitter (I've been a victim but never know until people tell me, and from what I hear I'm far from the only one). Is it asking too much that if there's a problem she addresses it on here? Can't she PM if she doesn't have the guts to post in public? In one case she posted it on here and then deleted it immediately (I guess I only saw it ever because I was quick to click on the thread) and then told me to F off on Twitter (which I don't use, so only saw weeks later when someone told me). W T F? Sorry Carrie for going off-topic

When will twitter become the next myspace?
There's no poll at present dear Carrie. Twitter won't go the way of myspace, imho, they are completely different beasts. It's like comparing facebook to phone text messaging. I don't have twitter and have, but never use or check, facebook - I hate all of it. If people care they will get in touch in REAL life imvho. If they don't they won't, sorts the wheat from the chaff!

Mylo Xyloto tattoo!..
I'm not a big tattoo fan, unless it's a full sleeve on men, with Japanese style artwork (although any tattoos in Japan cause big problems, because they are traditionally only sported by the yakuza - organized criminals - so even as a foreigner if you wish to visit it'll be a problem). That said, I think these are really pretty cool!! They need colouring though imho - they look unfinished to me :)

Why is most of Coldplay´s fanbase female?
Coldplay definitely don't have more female fans than male, at least here in the UK. I can say that having been to gigs around the country along with seven years of living here and talking to people as a huge fan (before that I was a fan but living abroad). Most people like them at least :) I think all that "Coldplay are gay" stuff must have been abroad (North American?).

Amazing video, and so creative - there are such talented folk on here! :sunny: I'm really glad - and amazed! - my surreptitious, and possibly subliminal, "elephant" made it in there :D
