Drumemrsss
Drums are pretty easy to pick up if you have good natural rhythm and coordination like alyssa said. I'm self taught. But I also have a friend who plays drums who didn't have great rhythm before. But he took lessons for years and practiced a ton and now he's great. It kinda depends on how much work you want to put in it, but I think anybody can play. Oh yeah, and I can play every Coldplay song I'm pretty sure. I like playing In My Place and Daylight. I think those are my favorite to play. I love changing stuff up sometimes too. What I usually do is just stick headphones in my laptop and play it as loud as i can go. That usually evens out the sound of the ridiculously loud drums.

Tattoo for Chris!
Damn, Chris is such a cool guy. I might have a baby on the way, and I hope I'm as devoted to him or her as Chris is to Apple. I'm obviously gonna try my best of course. :D And that Bob Dylan impression is wild. Love that guy. "Nothing rhymes with Tariff Barriers."

Jonnys Pedal Board
I'm just getting into guitar as well...the crazy letter/number pedal names confuse the hell out of me. What brand guitar does Jonny use? And if I'm just starting out, what kind of pedals and other equipment should I look for to get the Coldplay sound? Hopefully I can find a good place to get it all and figure out how it all works... :embarrased:

All B-sides?
There's new B-sides though that aren't on that album. And there's a few old ones too i believe that aren't on there.

Yeah it wasn't until I went looking for them all that I realized how many there were...

I Ran Away
I agree, I Ran Away is such a beautiful song. It's one of those Coldplay songs that are simple which makes it so beautiful. It's one of my favorite Coldplay songs in general. This thread category reminds me how many single CD's I still need to buy...

Bigger Stronger is a great song. And Careful Where You Stand is a song, which I give a 9.5/10 "I Ran Away"

Tribute band.
Actually Coldplay has over 5 tribute bands. All with different sounds. Coolplay and Coldplace are only the most well known ones. Google "coldplay tribute bands" and i'm sure at least 5 will come up. All the one's I've heard are actually pretty good. They all give a different flair to coldplay's music. And that's what I wat to do. That's the point of a tribute band. To play the music of a band that you admire. Do you know how many Beatles or Pink Floyd tribute bands there are? I never said I wanted to like play huge gigs and get booked for parties and stuff. Just play around with Coldplay's awesome music. Rock.

What songs can you play? Instruments?
Drums are fun. I haven't played em in so long I forgot I knew how. I did teach myself pretty much the whole AROBTTH album on drums too, but i suck at em.

Hey hey. New member.
Why thanks! Threw it together the other day. :D It's no match for yours though.

4th Album
Yeah let's hope. Chris and his piano go together like bread and butter.

X & Y
I agree. It really is a great album partially because its slightly different. Every album of Coldplay's kinda has its own twist if you think about it.

4th Album
If they get rid of their piano...that'll be sad. I mean think about it...one of Coldplay's biggest songs' main instrument was piano. I don't think they need to have it in any song, but i think they need to keep it around for some of their material. It's just one of the things that make them. I'll still love them either way of course but, you know. I love their piano I think a little more since I play piano, so that might be part of it.
