Music is getting harder and harder to classify these days, what with all the newer groups that create a unique style by meshing and bridging other styles. (Linkin Park, The Killers come to mind.) Genre classification isn't really applying anymore. There's almost as many genre's are there are bands. :P

That's awesome, what if the shadow kind of resembled the look of light shining through water, since you had the idea that it meant that the light went right through him. Sort of like that dimmed, streaky, fuzzy light. Just an idea...I'm a film student so I'm always imagining the imagery of stuff in my head :lol: silly little details.

Most guitars are 6 string. Do you have a 5 string guitar? or are you missing a string or two? :lol: If you have a five string guitar...I'm not sure if its tuned differently. Someone else will have to answer that.

I dunno, I'm just horrible at it. And its funny cuz everyone says that math is such a huge part of music...and that you can't have music without math. Buuut I play 6 different instruments, 5 of which were self taught...ergo...no math skill/some music skill. But that's just me... long live math-haters... :cool:

really? its 46? ....hm... I think the point is, that Chris had something to say. What he had to say felt right and was beautiful in that 46 seconds of song, there was no need to fluff it up with an extra 3 minutes. I respect that cuz it shows that the point is getting what you have to say out, rather than just making pretty music. Luckily Coldplay does both with every song they put out. So its all good.

I definitelly wouldn't classify Coldplay as any kind of just plain pop. Maybe pop-rock...er...more like rock-pop. Light-pop-rock? Lite-brit-pop-alt-rock. God damn...now I want some pop-rocks...
