Honestly? Terrible review, 90% of it consisted of telling us exactly who Coldplay are and what they've done so far. Now I realize not everyone is as Coldplay-crazy as us out there, but I think most people have a general idea about that. The review also didn't go in-depth at all, it just said "ohhh I like this song, and that one's good too - conclusion: best album ever lolz!" It didn't feel like a review, more like a first listen or small preview. Didn't stop me from getting excited about the album though, but almost every article we've read so far (NME, Q...) was better.

Hey just wondering, are there lots of people who go out binge drinking here? For some reason Coldplay fans don't really seem like the types to drink 'till they puke - but maybe I'm wrong (binge drinking does happen quite a lot here, even if they don't always call it that).

(sorry for this off-topic post, just quickly responding) it's not just here, it's all over the internet. I don't get it, just like I don't get guys who like girl-on-girl stuff. I've got absolutely nothing against gay people, mind you (I'm all for gay marriage and equal rights). I guess internet brings out the "worst" in people, pervert-wise? Yellow. Bought X&Y before Parachutes and A Rush Of Blood, though (I ended up buying the latter 2 "blindly", without listening to any tracks beforehand - I don't usually do that). And yeah, eventhough I wasn't around back then it's pretty funny to see these old thread ^_^

Heh, always fun when people claim to know what the band wants. I say the band would want us to hear it right now, but in full quality and the full CD rather than just a few songs (after all, that's what they keep repeating in interviews). Remember how Martin even offered to copy the CD for the NME guy? Yes I realize that was a joke but it also means he's not as serious about this whole thing as EMI. It's EMI that doesn't want you to hear the CD yet and buy it in the stores in a month. Not Coldplay. Now that we've got that out of the way, do you honestly think your posts work? Pretty much everyone here is going to be buying the CD anyway, who cares if they download it first or not, it's not going to hurt you in any way. If you honestly think Coldplay want to make their fans wait for another month despite already having finished the album (rather than this time being used to hype the album, give time for reviewers to review the album etc etc - which is all EMI's "fault") and you want to feel like a better person than the rest of us for not downloading it, then by all means do so. Just please, please stop bothering everyone about it.

Couldn't agree more, not a big fan of fans who are too... fanatic (yes, managed to put fan in there 3 times) Besides, fans who demand things from their bands aren't real fans anyway. You're supposed to like them for what they chose to do and what they chose to be like, not for what you think they should do or be like.

I listened to rap before I got into Coldplay >> It went from rap, to Linkin Park (rap/rock) to Coldplay... and Coldplay opened the window to alternative-/psychedelic/indie/prog-/post-/electronic/art-/math- rock <insert badass rock smilie here>
