christa: just sent you a PM about parking. about twitter: go into settings in the top right menu bar thing. click the devices tab. i think you put in your phone number where it asks, and then it gives you a code or something that you put in your phone contacts list, and you just text to that number and your text goes on your twitter :D. it doesn't work for pictures, though :sad:.

i'm wearing jeans, a coldplay tshirt, probably my chris-martin-esque jacket, since it's going to be slightly cold, and SNEAKERS. i'll have a rainjacket, too. umbrellas aren't allowed inside. NOTE TO EVERYONE: WEAR SNEAKERS. the parking lots are just dirt: regardless of whether you're parking there or not, you WILL have to walk across them, and your feet will get dirty. moreover, there is LOTS of broken glass from drunk idiots.

haha, true. i was in the center last time, but slightly on jonny's side. i suppose i'm mostly imparticular, but too much on jonny's side and we'll never see chris's face when he's at the piano! and guy's harder to see then too...i think we'll need to weigh all the pros and cons in line, or else agree to split up a bit :P

this thread is suspiciously quiet for it being the night before the gig :shifty: :P i know i'm being annoying but: in satellite pictures, there aren't any apparent barriers to the big dirt parking lots. maybe we'll be able to get in, if they don't put portable wooden ones up.

:lol: you telling me not to worry about parking, and then reading your PM...:wacky:. i'm pretty sure we'll be fine and well with timing :wink:. new thought on parking, from my mom: don't park in the business parking lots too early...they won't be taking money when we arrive, and they won't put a ticket on your car saying you've paid. without a ticket, your car will probably be towed. as much as i love coldplay, i'm not allowing this to happen to me :P

ok, i know i'm posting too much, but i'm big on planning :P i tried to give you guys (christa) a visual on the parking situation. it's a bit messy :P the places marked "USUAL PARKING" and "MORE PARKING (I THINK)" are the "official" "free" lots for the venue (not really free--we paid out the ass in ticket fees for them to be free). according to what the guy said on the phone, they won't be open when we arrive. however, i'm not 100% convinced they'll be gated off and closed, since a) people tailgate like crazy here, and they tailgate for longer than 30 mins before the doors open (not that they'll start at 2:30, but anyway :P) and b) they're just big dirt lots, and since we don't have to pay, i doubt there will be big gates. however, at my other times at this venue, my mom and i have parked at the business at the corners of weston st. and rev. moody opas (i believe...it's a bit hard to tell what things are from a birds-eye view). usually, these private businesses open their lots to concert goers for a fee, but i highly doubt they'll be ready for people to park there at 2:30 in the afternoon. we'll see. anyway, i don't know if this is helpful, but i just don't want to spend a lot of time driving around and potentially getting lost trying to find somewhere to stow the cars. i want to get to the line ASAP and put the cars somewhere walkable and somewhere we won't get ticketed!

ok, christa, check your facebook inbox for my number and what i said in the PM that got spoiled. basically, i just want to know if noelia can text me your progress on occasion and which highway you're taking to hartford :D. it takes me approx. an hour to get to hartford, so i'll try to coordinate my leaving when you guys are an hour away (in my approximate neighborhood--you'll pass right by it :D). blergh for parking worries :\ :P

I TALKED TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE!! :dance: ok, he said we could start lining up as early as we wanted and it wouldn't be considered tresspassing! 2:30 is perfect then :D. however, he did say that the parking lots don't open until 30 mins before the gates open, so we'll have to find somewhere else to park :\. that might be a bit of a challenge. he didn't have any idea what would be a *good* time to start lining up to get front row, but i think we'll be fine...we're going to be the biggest crazies there :D. and there ARE portapotties/bathroom facilities outside, he said! he seemed hesitant, but he did say "yes, there are." ok, i don't know WHAT the hell to do about parking, but i guess we'll figure it out? :thinking: we might be able to find something...this is what it says about parking on the internet maybe something will be open? i also asked him if i could bring my SLR camera into the venue (some other fans at other shows have been getting pictures so good they could ONLY be taken with an SLR), but he was adamant that NO photography was allowed in the venue :rolleyes:. hide your cameras well, girls...i usually put mine in that inner zippy pocket found in most purses, hidden by pads and tampons :P

if it's any consolation, that's just a lake, and the water was cold! you could swim in it without dying, but it was cold :P. and i hate swimming in lakes anyway, so i just stuck my feet in :D

OMFG TOMORROW :freak: :dance: ok, i'm going to attempt to get someone from the venue on the freaking phone today. as of right now, i'm thinking we won't be allowed to line up till about 4 based on what's happened at other venues, but it would be nice if i could confirm that fact :shifty:. as far as i know, you guys are planning to arrive in hartford around 2:30--i think i'll probably aim to get there around then too, even if we can't line up then. we can find somewhere to hang out like a starbucks or something, maybe. however, it would be awesome if noelia and/or sarah would text me your progress on the road (when you leave LI, if you hit traffic, etc) so i can know when to leave. are you guys taking I-84? if you are, i would totally appreciate a call/text when you get near exit 9 in CT, because that's exactly where i live and it would be the perfect time to leave and follow you there. if i get a person on the phone, i'm going to ask about timing, bathrooms in line, what time they recommend we get there (whatever they say, we'll be there earlier :P) etc etc. i don't think we're going to have time to peruse the merch stands or get food or use the potty once we're allowed in, unfortunately...i'm not drinking any liquids tomorrow, i swear :lol:. anyway, i'd love to hear the christa-mobile plan deliniated once just to make sure i have it straight, but texts from the road would be hugely appreciated! and wave if you go I-84 and pass exit 9 :P

i like the second ones the best :D. i have a pair of birkenstocks myself, but i rarely wear them anymore even though they're the most comfortable things ever. when they were brand-new years ago, i walked across a really dewey field in them, and ever since then, when i wear them, they make the bottom of my feet BRIGHT orange :lol:. i think the dye of the footbed seeped out or something. i should figure out how to seal them or just deal with it and wear them :P. anyway, tip: don't get them wet! :P

still all over the news here too. not as much as it was a few weeks ago, of course, but it crops up a few times a day. just because the mass hysteria has faded and england has a new huge story to cover doesn't mean the problem has gone away completely.

in martin + osa today, i heard lovers in japan acoustic :nice:. i was surprised to hear the acoustic version in a store, but it's one of my favorite coldplay songs ever, so it made me especially happy :D. (they also played gobbldegook by sigur ros, another favorite :nice:. i love everything about that store).

i bought this dress today from H&M :wacky: i have no need for it, but it was cheap, adorable, and so me :P. i also bought a white scarf with light black stripes at the bottom from ann taylor :D.

^i heard about radiohead via facebook app; i haven't checked more official sources yet. facebook isn't always right :P amagansett is is in east hampton, but it's more west than i thought they lived :D i'd really love the venue to call me back about now. they should have a website with this info on it!

is the house in amagansett? i thought it was a bit closer towards montauk, more towards the center of east hampton (where i have a house...but chris and gwyneth are NEVER in east hampton when i am :rolleyes:). just called the venue AGAIN with no answer...this time i left a message; we'll see if they call back :dozey:. i have new information on other venues, however: the similar venue in DC, where coldplay is playing on thursday, doesn't allow people to start lining up (or to park in the lots) until 4PM. if it's similar with our venue, we'd all have some time to kill while waiting for the parking lots to open. i hope they call back with answers...otherwise i'm going to have to dial the number "for immediate assistance" :P. i also just found out radiohead is going to be at this venue on august 3. my poor bank account...:freak:

white, desperately in need of a repainting. too many tack holes, too many bits of adhesive that ripped off all the paint, too boring. i really want to have it repainted a very very light purple, but i first need to learn how to stop sticking everything i find cool up on my wall :dozey:. or i need to find a way to stick things in my wall without ripping away the paint (adhesive), creating tack holes, or leaving oily stains (bluetack).
