lots of concerts i've been to have had hand outs like this (though none this cool...usually just something that allows you one free download or something), and usually right after they scan your ticket, there's a group of people standing just beyond the barrier passing out stuff to everyone that passes. i figure this is the way they're going to do it :D

the state i'm currently in (pennsylvania, for uni) has it's first suspected case :sick:. i guess it's only a matter of time until connecticut, my home state, gets it too, which i'm going back to in a week. my mom also just told me she heard on the news that the virus is so small that it passes through the material of face masks. has anyone else heard that?

my univeristy sent out emails telling us all the precautionary measures today...nothing new, of course, just telling people to wash their hands all the time. thank god i'm a germaphobe and do that all the time anyway :P i think we're going to start seeing more cells of infection and more mask-wearing in the US quite soon :uhoh:.

i'm going to stick with what official sources say, thanks, and officials only say that it has not been spread through food "so far," which i take to mean that it's not out of the realm of possibility. i'm not saying everyone should stop eating pork, i'm just saying i don't see the harm in trading a ham sandwich for a chicken one for a while, or why it's necessary to call people "daft" for being concerned and taking minor precautions that might make them feel better. BTW, chicken pox has nothing to do with chickens...it's only called that because it's a milder, and therefore "chicken" form of other sorts of pox, and because it makes your skin look like a plucked chicken's. also, for etymological reasons.
