  1. I did a little search on this and Phoenix Pearle never signed to EMI (I think. There's little information on them on the internet. Perhaps that also shows that they aren't on EMI). They both have several bands actually. So we just have to figure out which one :P
  2. I think they're look nice. But to me they're not 'the real thing'. If you are willing to spend some cash on a thorough collection, I'd suggest you start collecting them seperately (+ it's more of a challenge to find them all :p ). If you just want the singles on vinyl and are not willing to spend big bucks on it, that boxset is perfect.
  3. It's a collection of your work that you can show to your future employers. In this case it's a bunch of articles you have already written to show that you can in fact write a decent article. In few weeks I'm starting my internship at a free national student magazine and I'll keep the articles that I'll write for that magazine with me, so that I can show them off when I'm applying for a job in the future.
  4. I'm studying journalism at the moment. I don't regret it at all. And those saying that there are no jobs, aren't looking hard enough. And I just think that you shouldn't focus too much on the music industry business. I mean, not that it can't be your dream, but realise that it might take you some time to get there and that you should be willing to do other stuff first, to build up a portfolio. What I can advise is that you perhaps try to search for review websites where users can submit their own reviews. This will help your writing, but it'll also give you something to refer to when applying for this kind of stuff. The most probable scenario is that you probably work at some magazine/newspaper for soem years, and that you keep your eyes peeled for job openings at several music magazines/websites. If you can then apply for such a job with your magazine/newspaper experience, and with your written review to prove your skills, your chances of getting hired are pretty realistic. You just can't expect to graduate and immediately get to work in the music industry. But if you realise this, and are patient enough, then I'd say: go for it!

    That's generous of you!
  6. I wouldn't say that. It's definately the most expensive.
  7. Yeah I had the same thing. At some points when the crowd started screaming it just came out as one huge 'noisebomb' . At one point it was so bad that I was like: oh-oh, GPASUYF is next, that'll hurt a lot :P
  8. Just got home from the movie (I saw it in Brussels) I really really loved it. The thing I loved most was perhaps that they showed so much close-ups of the crowd. You can totally feel what they feel and you get all warm on the inside because you still remember being one of them in the real-life concert and all. I don't know about you guys but I loved Up In Flames. Just the follow up of the 'backstage images' and then this song. I really enjoyed it. One thing did bother me though
  9. Love the photos :p Cool angle! And of course, great great collection !
  10. I think that you kind have to watch Glee to like the covers. It must add some sort of extra emotional dimension that the non-viewers (including me) don't get. Looking at the songs seperately probably makes them sound so much worse, from what I've seen at least :P
  11. Wowie, so many different numbers... So there were different re-releases or what?
  12. Wow I didn't know that! Gotta check that out when I'm back home :p
  13. The people who are voting, could you please vote for The Jezabels in the last section? They're great live an deserve every vote! (But of course if you have another favourite, by all means, vote for them, but I figured that most of you are just skipping to the part where Coldplay is featured and vote for random bands in the other sections) Edit: Strange, I could vote yesterday as well !
  14. I have actually always considered these as being fake. Because they advertise it as being The Blue Room/Parachutes and it contains songs fro AROBTTH. So to me, it's just a Chinese HDCD compilation, not an authentic release.
  15. It's not the studying that consumes my time (I hardly ever study execpt exam periods :p) It's more like do this, make an essay about that, thake pictures of this, interview that person, search an internship,... Just keeps on coming, but I'll manage to keep working on the site piece by pieceThe thing that's most dificult at the moment is being up to date with the latest news. But I don't think a lot of people check my site for that kind of stuff anyways.
  16. Haha, yeah trying to, step by step. But school is getting sooo hectic. I try to squeeze in some website stuff every day, even if it's just 5 mins. Next section that will be updated is Speed Of Sound
  17. That's so cool! You should've said: OK, you can use them, but give me a press pass for one of the concerts in the UK in the future :D (unless you got paid for them, then it's an invalid deal :p) Well I think it's absolutely awesome that they use fan photos in the calender! And it looks great, so again, congrats I'm really happy for you :D
  18. THAT. IS. SO. COOOOOLLL !!! Congrats! I always thought your pics were great!! You must be so proud! :D How did they find you anyways?
  19. That is one expensive tape: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261105447855&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_500wt_1314
  20. It's not sold, I think it's still on hold for me, because I bought it but then changed my mind. It was 30£.
  21. Btw, I was almost going to buy it myself, but the love for collecting still isn't back. So let me just say that this is a good buy: http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=163699
  22. Hi, Yeah those scans would be welcome. I only have them up to Charlie Brown and I missed out on all the japanese stuff and those remixes promos whatever so if anyone can help me out, that's be cool. I'm going to try to get a head start on the website now, because I'll be busy again very soon.
  23. Okay so I'm going to put some time in ùy website again (got kinda bored of it since I stopped collecting (if anyone wants to buy something off me, PM me) ). Problem is now that I don't have any knowledge of the recent releases. I think I got it up to Charlie Brown. Anyone wanna give me an update of what PoC and HLH releases there are?
  24. . That's probably a song by the string quartet itself, but inspired by Coldplay
