  1. It'll have to stop like it is for a while. Got too many other things to do. There will be additional skins like the forum sometime down the line. Maybe something a bit brighter will get you lot to be a bit more cheerful! :P
  2. Yes. When I've finished the main site tweaks the forum will move to vb4 which has extra social stuff.
  3. Not just a new layout. It's a whole shiny new site...
  4. Checked the source code and can't see anything wrong. Nothing in the html output that is malicious. Likely a false positive possibly triggered by one of the adverts that google shunt onto the site via adsense. Nothing triggered via AVG.
  5. I'm wondering if Fergie will be on a FA charge in the new year for bringing the game into disrepute. His haranguing of the officials was way out of order.
  6. Expendables2 2/10. Only got 2 because of Charisma Carpenter. 1 per minute.
  7. I know the BP garage. Just before the motorway flyover. Bloody dangerous on a quiet sunday nevermind the afternoon on a weekday. Nearly got wiped out by a 4x4 there a few months ago.
  8. Prometheus 7/10. Watchable if only for the last 15mins. Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. 9/10. Quirky UK style film. Snow White & the Huntsman. 6/10. Best bit was all the Dwarves being well known top UK actors. WTF!! Bad guys and dwarves... that's all we get thesedays! And Bond!
  9. Only just finised S1 on dvd. Waiting for S2 on DVD in the uk...
  10. Damn me. The older you get the less you give a toss what other people think of you. You still listen, and take note. You just let it bother you. Their problem. S... older and grumpier version of the CPing Boss! :)
  11. Still remember The hobbit being on Jackanory as a child. Read by a much younger Bernard Cribbens. Got me into fantasy books that did! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1efGqdPtZPg&feature=youtu.be
  12. Seems a strangely premiership style of play. Less so in Italy/Spain. I prefer to see the forwards between the half-way line & centre-circle keeping their full-backs & centre-half tied up. Gives the goalkeeper more space.
  13. Don't think an own goal counts!! :) Can't understand why forwards are in their own penalty area at all in set pieces. Rooney & Ba own goals this week. It just drags in another opponent into a crowded box and doesn't help the goalie as Hart showed. Stop on the half way line and give them a target man for a quick break! sheesh!
  14. If they sign up for the code, which all athletes do through their national associateions - I did to the BCF for 10yrs - then simply you adhere to the rules or pay the price if you dont and get caught. Not all teams did cross the line during that era, and not all riders from USPostal did. It wasn't a level playing field by any stretch of the imagination. After festina98 the french especially came down hard on their teams & riders. For many northern continental european teams as well the stage races were never a priority compared to the 1day classics. I'm amazed USADA have had the balls to do this. The intimidation that they and the prior USFDA investigation received was pretty shocking. Listen to this is you can... pretty eye opening: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01ngqxd
  15. Yes they can, they will, and they have. All US athletes sign up to their code of practice and by the USADA's signatury relationship to WADA they have to comply with WADA and their doping controls. The UCI are the only ones who can un-ratify the decision of USADA but won't in this case refer the decision to CAS. The UCI are already in deep shit for their handling of the 94/5 to 2005/6 era where this all happened. They simply won't touch this. Because everyone did it, doesn't mean it's right. As I mentioned earlier this wasn't just LA & USPostal. This went on in most pro teams in the mid-late 90's and early 2000's. It's just to most Americans the Tour de France is the only bike race that exists. It's not. It's just the biggest media circus. The influx of money into cycling through TV and US sports interest escalated the price of success & failure which lead to this drug enduced arms race. LA was the golden boy / godfather of the peleton for that era. He's got the most to lose by far. It's not just cycling that was/is involved. Football, tennis, athletics amongst others have their hidden past in this era. Operation puerto and a similar one in Italy showed this. It lead to andi-doping legislation in Italy which criminalises doping. WADA was set up as a result of the festina affair in 98. But the endemic code of silence and the money that fueled it meant that it was hard to progress. Retrospective sample testing kick-started a lot of the clean up. The biological passport, wherabouts system, epo/era tests all have been driven by cyclings need to clean up it's act. It's now one of, if not the cleanest sports out there. Riders are tested in/out of competition more times than all other sports put together. Football... now that is a sport that has problems. Currently they don't have a systemic epo/cera/ hGH testing program. The major teams would shit themselves if it did! I raced through this era. I stopped cos I was sick of the blatant cheating that was going on. It's a sport I love though I don't compete any more. I've only started watching again in the last few years. Still not a fan of the TdF. It's just a media jamboree and the racing is pretty crap. Now Paris-Roubaix, Flanders, Strade Bianchi. That's racing! :)
  16. Well done Felix great dive! Only Suarez has gone further! :)
  17. Read up on Operation Puerto. There were many top Spanish sports professionals involved in this national systematic drug system. The only ones punished were the cyclists, but many other sports were involved at the highest level including football, tennis and athletics. Really any sport that had an endurace-based core. Cycling is very different now to that era... and LA etc didn't start it. It was there from ~93/94. The Italians with gewiss-ballan in 94/95 were the primary testbed. LA's team just refined it and were the best. Haemocrits of 50% were common, some riders died because their blood was too thick. No tests for epo until 2005-6 so easy to pass a test 'at the time'. Retrospective testing has shown it's presence. As for the French moaning about the unfairness of it, I'll just mention Festina in 98. It was endemic in the sport. Did Armstrong win all those tours? Doesn't really matter anymore, no-one cares, but he was the first amongst equals, and his team brough tactics which are still used today in grand tours.
  18. For the £24m that Wonga are to pay to sponsor Newcastle over 4 years, if they lent that @ their typical APR over 4 years they'd have to repay £4bn! Mike Ashley you greedy f&**king c&*t! The fact Wonga have 'renamed' the stadium St. James' Park doesn't let the money grabbing tw&^s off the hook! grrrrr...
  19. Bloody hell. They've gone and won it outright!! That's grand theft golf! :)
  20. Who's going to win Team SPOTY now then?? Got to be top of the list... even beats TeamGB!
  21. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!
