A song with some ties to Michigan. :) Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald- Gordon Lightfoot The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they called 'Gitche Gumee' The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead When the skies of November turn gloomy With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty. That good ship and crew was a bone to be chewed When the gales of November came early. The ship was the pride of the American side Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most With a crew and good captain well seasoned Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms When they left fully loaded for Cleveland And later that night when the ship's bell rang Could it be the north wind they'd been feelin'? The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound And a wave broke over the railing And every man knew, as the captain did too, T'was the witch of November come stealin'. The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait When the Gales of November came slashin'. When afternoon came it was freezin' rain In the face of a hurricane west wind. When suppertime came, the old cook came on deck sayin'. Fellas, it's too rough to feed ya. At Seven P.M. a main hatchway caved in, he said Fellas, it's been good t'know ya The captain wired in he had water comin' in And the good ship and crew was in peril. And later that night when his lights went outta sight Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Does any one know where the love of God goes When the waves turn the minutes to hours? The searches all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay If they'd put fifteen more miles behind her. They might have split up or they might have capsized; May have broke deep and took water. And all that remains is the faces and the names Of the wives and the sons and the daughters. Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings In the rooms of her ice-water mansion. Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams; The islands and bays are for sportsmen. And farther below Lake Ontario Takes in what Lake Erie can send her, And the iron boats go as the mariners all know With the Gales of November remembered. In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed, In the Maritime Sailors' Cathedral. The church bell chimed till it rang twenty-nine times For each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald. The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they call 'Gitche Gumee'. Superior, they said, never gives up her dead When the gales of November come early!

Download this song, right now! Shackled- Vertical Horizon For so long my life's been sewn up tight inside your hold And it leaves me there without a place to call my own I know now what shadows can see There's no point in running 'less you run with me It's half the distance through the open door Before you cut me down Again Let me introduce you to the end And I feel the cold wind blowing beneath my wings It always leads me back to suffering But I will soar until the wind whips me down Leaves me beaten on unholy ground again So tired now of paying my dues I start out strong but then I always lose It's half the distance before you leave me behind It's such a waste of time Chorus 'Cause my shackles You won't be And my rapture You won't believe And deep inside you will bleed for me So here I slave inside of a broken dream Forever holding on to splitting seams So take your piece and leave me alone to die I don't need you to keep my faith alive I know now what trouble can be And why it follows me so easily It's half the distance through the open door Before you shut me down Again Let me introduce you to the end Chorus Though you know you care Chorus And my laughter You won't hear The faster I disappear And time will burn your eyes to tears

Aqueous Transmission- Incubus Im floating down a river Oars freed from their homes long ago Lying face up on the floor Of my vessel I marvel at the stars And feel my heart overflow Further down the river Two weeks without my lover Im in this boat alone Floating down a river named emotion Will I make it back to shore? Or drift into the unknown Further down the river Im building an antenna Transmissions will be sent When I am through Maybe we can meet again Further down the river And share what we both discovered Then revel in the view Further down the river Im floating down a river

Incubus
God, how could you do that... :P No, I haven't seen them live but every video I download of them live, they're incredible and sound exactly like it was on the album, which is the way it should be. I also have the Morning View sessions dvd, which there is a whole concert on there and it was amazing.

Incubus
:) Yeah, but I downloaded the songs and I didn't care for them. I'm definitly not wasting my money on enjoy either. You know what, Incubus really need's a live album...Not this 6 track crap, an actual full concert. They sound so incredible live.
