  1. Yesterday i got all four wisdom teeth taken out and i was listening to Parachutes whilst waiting to see if i could calm down coz i was really, really nervous (i'd never had an operation before) and then i listened to Jack Johnson, and I was listening to AROBTTH album, halfway through Green Eyes when the guy came to take me to the operation part.... and when i woke up, the first song to come to my head was Spies. Also, whn I was listening to Parachutes I was reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and as I was listening to Yellow the main character was thinking/saying 'yellow' and the instruction on the front of the Guide is "Don't Panic". Gosh, I hope my swelling is gone by Friday... I have my Uni Orientation Day and I don't want to go there swollen with an ice pack tied to my head.
  2. I finished The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger yesterday (second time I've read it, beautiful book). Also finished A Child Called 'It' by Dave Pelzer yesterday as well. Really sad that there are people out there who go through that stuff.
  3. ^That's true, everyone already knew it was ending. I haven't yet, but I'm still undecided about whether I should or not. Slightly off topic: has anyone ever noticed that on jkr's official site, in the 'Extra Stuff' part, there's a ticket for a Coldplay concert?
  4. 50 First Dates 7/10 I think I've seen it too many times coz now when I watch it I get a bit bored from it. But still a nice movie.
  5. I think there is a news reporter on channel nine here by the name of Chris Martin, but i'm not sure. Sometimes I hear "Chris Martin, National Nine News" when the guy signs off but i never see it to see if that is actually his name, or if im just hearing things.
  6. I'd like to go back to the 1700s/1800s just to see what life was like back then (in the UK though, not Australia). Everything was done so differently. But then I think of hygeine and quality of life back then and I'm quite glad I'm not there.
  7. One time, when I was driving (I'm on my learner's) I accidentally accelerated instead of braking. No accidents occured though, the road was pretty empty. I don't usually drive like that though, I promise! I'm usually average/good.
  8. Lol. That's cool!
  9. Oh... Well, kangaroos jump and sheep are woolly. And a woolly jumper is clothing, so I guess it's a double-meaning joke - kinda.
  10. I fell down (or up, I can't remember) the stairs out the front of the cinemas one time. Luckily there weren't too many people apart from my friends to witness it.
  11. It would have been weird if you actually found that funny..
  12. Last year in Business Studies we were learning something about trade policies and free trade and all that... and our teacher was saying that our free trade agreement with America is more beneficial to them than us because one of Australia's main exports is beef but beef wasn't is the agreement because America didn't want their beef industry threatened (understandably). Anyway, then I said something about how I thought free trade was a bit stupid in some cases and that the bigger countries will always try to make more profit out of it than the little countries and that's why people should have fair trade not free trade because it will help with poverty and that. Sir agreed and then this guy in my class was like "How do you even know all that stuff, Nadia?" and I had to admit that I knew it because I was introduced to it through Coldplay. I loved that class. I miss it. The teacher was my favourite teacher in the school.
  13. ^Haha... Confused people are the funniest. Today I heard the phone ringing so I ran to get it, even though I'm like "It sounds a bit quiet" and it turned out it was the neighbours phone (which means their phone must be heaps loud if I can hear it from my house, or they've got all tile which makes it echo).
  14. I remember when book 6 came out, I didn't get it straight away (I got it about a week or so after release) and my friends and I were talking at lunch and one of them (the other HP fan in our group) was saying about how she cried when'A certain character' died and I'm like "'A certain character' died?" So the book was a little bit spoiled but it's not her fault, she didn't know I read the books... I think, but I can't remember for sure, that I ended up getting mega-curious and asker her who the killer was/how he was killed. I don't know how to put those spoiler thingies in there so now I'm referring to it as A Certain Person, even though my friend said the name.
  15. Oh ok... well at least I'm not the only one, then.
  16. It kinda confused me too, don't worry. What do you get if you cross a sheep with a kangaroo? A woolly jumper!
  17. That is so flamin' flippin' cool! I got excited just reading about it and looking at pics, the excitement for Lore and others who met them must be massive! Just WOW!!!
  18. Ouch. Can you still see from that eye?
  19. I like it so far, but that stripper lady confuses me... I don't really get her power. But otherwise it seems good.
  20. :D I love holiday sleep-ins... Maybe I should order the book so that I don't risk it being sold out in the shops..? But my family will probably tease me for that... I'll just go to the shops early, I guess.
  21. What stupid/silly/"blonde" things have you done? One time when I poured boiling water into a plastic bottle and it started to shrivel, I started pouring cold water on it thinking it would have the opposite effect and make the bottle go back to normal. :embarassed: It didn't.
  22. I have to get all four of my wisdom teeth out on Monday! I feel sorry for me. One of my older sisters and my older brother got there's taken out and they both say that it hurt heaps. Good luck to me! What Briggins said is similar to what my mum would probably say...
  23. Why was six afraid of seven? Because seven ate nine.
  24. I need this old train to breakdown Oh please just Let me please breakdown
  25. Pocahontas 9/10 I know it sounds stupid because I'm 17 and still watching Disney cartoon movies, but this is seriously one of my favourites! I know all the words to that Colours of the Wind song  . Great movie. Didn't much like the second one though, if I remember correctly...
