I bought "Takk" today. I only heard about Sigur Ros last night/this morning. Which of their albums is best to get that's closest to Coldplay style? Also, are there significant differences in the sounds of each album??

We had a sale at JB Hi-fi!! All Radiohead albums for $10 (aus) except for best of and in rainbows (ive already got the later). I got OK Computer today, but might get Pablo Honey and others as soon as possible!! ALso, has anyone heard of Sigur Ros?

Hey, Has anyone heard any of her stuff? She's really cool! One of Australia's best artists! Does anyone have any news on her third album??

Yer I noticed that about Keane. I've been checking their website often (not as often as I do Coldplay of course) and just some stuff they do looks like theyre looking up to Coldplay as if Coldplay is their older brother. Especially with the hypnotic thing. I mean, geez, get your own creative ideas. I really like Keane and am looking forward to their album. I think it was a bit cocky though to say that theirs is gonna be better than Coldplay or Radiohead (VLV/In Rainbows)...but good luck to 'em!! In relation to the difference to the Prospekt entries and the daily photos/blogs/videos of Keane. Both are good, but the rariety of the entries for Coldplay made the whole experience more tense and exciting. Keane was like "O wow. Another picture of a load of wires or a out-of-focus band member...joy". Their blogs got boring and full of pissy, useless information as well, like I don't care about the beers in Berlin, tell me bout the damn album!! Anyways, I'm also not trying to bag them, like I said, can't wait for the album!

Also (sorry bout all these questions lol) but does anyone have any good pics of them all standing around with their instruments (a la the coldplay one where they're all in that room together playing)?? Especially if it shows the effects boards etc.

Well, I can answer that. When you play live in a band and things are just going well or sounding good. You just laugh at each other. For some reason thats just how you express that what you're playing/hearing sounds fantastic.

So. If you had to summarise the instruments they all play. Would you say that its 3 guitars, bass and drums? Also, are they good live in the sense that they can produce the same sound of their studio music? Also, I may be wrong, but Thom doesn't look like the type of person who could get to the crowd as much as Chris (Martin). What type of venues do they play at? Are they arenas or stadiums, or just theatre style places??

Lol, i hope that when I see them live they play something wack. Something that just hasn't been heard in ages. Like a AROBTTH b-side (apart from one i love). That'd be sweet! And possible Careful Where You Stand as part of the acoustic section... I don't know. Nor do I ultimately care. We're all gonna have our preferances. They put on such a brilliant show that I don't mind what they play - I know they'll do it well anyway. The fact that I'm standing there in the same room as Coldplay watching them in the flesh play their music is mind-blowing in itself.

Hey all, I'm just wondering whether Radiohead are good live? Also, is there a site/interview or something that goes into detail over what each band member plays and how they all contribute to the music?? I'm especially interested in the 3 guitars etc. Also, Radiohead are touring right? What are the chances they'll come to Australia?? Lots of questions. Give me your opinions on the live question.

Was my favourite Coldplay song for a long time. Now it's a toss up between it and Crest of Waves.

Yer. I've been in love with them for ages now. It'll be such a good guitar to have as well, cos everyone usually just has teles or strats. To have a jazzmaster will be unique and it also has the types of sounds I want.
