In two days it would be 6 weeks since they've said anything about the album... is this the longest we've had to wait for a Prospekt journal entry? I just wish they'd say something already. I'm tired of telling myslef "ok, I can hold out till next week for some info" and then it never comes. Another thing I'm confused about - In their note about their 10th anniversary, Guy says "we're gonna celebrate in New York where we are mixing the album", but I thought they finished mixing already... I forgot where I read that, maybe from the article in the Q magazine (I might be wrong). This contradiction fustrates me.

Yeah, Blackbud is a very good band. Just skimmed through the thread and people have posted some great bands and music. Theres also some which are listed that I've never heard of, which I probably need to check out pretty soon. Thanks! Well I just read her (cpfan50)'s take on the situation and actually, it seems to makes quite alot of sense for me. I personally voted 'No' on the poll concerning whether Chris should have attacked that guy (given the limit of optional answers), but I can see why someone, anyone would be upset by that comment given the circumstances. Personally I'm on the fence on this one, and I don't think being a Coldplay fan (or not) should really come into deciding whether or not what Chris did was wrong... but thats only my opinion. And please respect other people's opinions, comments like this one can turn reasonably civilised discussions into a 'personal attacking frenzy', which I'm sure everyone can do without.

Well I've never heard it, and i dont know how anyone could have got this track even if it was genuine. But two things convince me that its probably not Coldplay: 1. Rise and Fall is not one of the track names mentioned on the official Coldplay.com website. 2. It does sound like Coldplay, yes, but really that could be any of the hundreds of similar sounding artists out there. I wouldn't get too excited about this like I just did (my heart was racing while i was listening to it despite my doubt of its validity). Sounds more like Thirteen Senses to me, but it certainly is interesting to ponder about. A nice little song aswell.

Haha well actually I've been whining about it to everyone OUTSIDE of coldplaying.com (they seem to think I'm obsessed - I mean come on :rolleyes:). But I reckon its probably better to be whiny on the forums than bore people who don't care either way (like I have). So by all means, continue :P I see what you mean about the situation being better for musicians in the long run, its just that It seems to be very bad timing. But thats just one guy's opinion.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This is exactly what I was hoping was not going to happen (delaying the album release I mean). Frankly, this sucks. I just hope they have the decency to tell us whats going on. Right now it feels like they're abandoning us, though i know thats not their intention. I'd prefer if they come out and say the album won't be out as soon as they thought, rather than continue to keep us on our toes for an indefinate period of time. Thats whats REALLY killing me right now.

Its really fustrating that its been more than a month with no word at all from them, seeing as theyve already finished mixing the songs. And whats all this with sources telling us the album is going to be released in late 2008 recently? I doubt its gonna be released later than June but it just feels like we've been waiting for ages and its not getting closer at all. Aaaarrrrgh.

I'm sure they'll have good riffs / hooks, in fact thats possibly the one thing im certain about concerning the new album. I wouldn't worry about that too much :)
