Anyone suprised that Lovers in Japan will be the next single..?
Actually I'm glad it is... the way it sounds in that live video is very promising and it has great potential as a single i think

New York show winners are ....
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping too... but seeing as I've never won anything in my life, I'm not hopeful :P Really though, the chances of me getting a ticket are minimal, so I'm not going to even bother getting excited / nervous :dozey:

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
 Thats dedication right there. But you're right, it was totally worth it I think! Nice work! :D Chelsea, I'm coming! How many times... :P I'm glad you guys like the idea of a note, I'll make a thread about it after my exams are over (after Saturday I think) and we can start discussing what we want to say to them! I'm thinking of buying a fountain pen just for this very thing :P

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
Duuuude. How long did it take you to figure this out? It looks like you spent quite a bit of time figuring it all out! :stunned: I think you might be onto something, in fact I think you might have it spot on... all evidence seems to agree with your theory! :D And the whole thing about the school opposite... it all fits perfectly. Nice one Jamie! Well umm wow... I guess I'm going to have to think of something to leave them if we find it. Maybe I should write out a nice handwritten letter to the guys on the behalf of Coldplaying.com, and slip it under the front door so they might get a chance to read it on their return! Maybe a little ambitious, but I'm confident that it won't be too difficult... up for posting some mail to the Bakery in August, Chelsea? :wink3:

VLVODAAHF Running Time of Songs
Its because Violet Hill fades in while Viva La Vida is still fading out, so both songs probably lose 5 seconds each. I was kinda expecting '42' to be a bit longer. Thanks for posting!

Chris on why Kylie track was axed from VLV in Metro Newspaper (New album in 2009??)
^25 songs i think. I'm not sure whether thats overall, or only unreleased tracks from this era, but i definitely remember seeing that number somewhere.

^It would have fitted nicely onto the Garden State soundtrack somewhere too, I reckon

Viva La Vida Checklist: How many have leaked?
Yeah, I think Lost! and Yes are more obvious snippets, but the reason I'm not going to add it in is because a lot of those 30 second previews could start popping up and the whole list would turn red :P Those previews are a bit different, whereas you have a large portion of the songs playing in the background of those interviews.

Viva La Vida Checklist: How many have leaked?
Ok, another update. I referenced 'Lost!' as a SNIPPET of a song, as well as 'Yes'. I don't think a few seconds of these songs heard in interviews should really be defined as leaks. So here's the amended list: CHECKLIST Life In Technicolor Cemeteries Of London Lost! + 42 Lovers In Japan + Reign Of Love Yes Chinese Sleep Chant Viva La Vida Violet Hill Strawberry Swing Death & All His Friends The Escapist ~~~ SNIPPETS*: Lost!, Yes PARTIALLY LEAKED SONGS*: Life In Technicolor, Death And All His Friends FULLY LEAKED SONGS*: Violet Hill, Viva La Vida + ACOUSTIC VERSIONS*: Lost?, Lovers In Japan TOTAL: 5 LEAKED SONGS With 8 UNHEARD SONGS And 2 ACOUSTIC VERSIONS

Actually Lovers in Japan (Though its acoustic) thread! The Discussion thread
It is very good quality for a radio rip. Well worth a listen! :D But its up to you to wait though  And I agree with all of you, it definitely reminds me of older Coldplay in all aspects of the song - lyrics, instruments, singing, everything. Its a perfect mix of all eras, especially the Blue Room through to AROBTTH eras. And I love the atmospheric feel to it. Very etheral (or however you spell it), I'd say. Like See You Soon, but more lush and passionate, like Sleeping Sun but more beautiful. I think this is truly a Coldplay classic :nice:

"Songs that we have not yet heard but hope to in the future" thread
Those are both on the album.

Looks like I beat you too it :P

"Songs that we have not yet heard but hope to in the future" thread
Bah! Where have you been!? :P We only have like a 6 second clip of it though. It's one of those old old songs from the Ode To Deodorant days. 'Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground' is another VLV era unlreleased song for the list

Actually Lovers in Japan (Though its acoustic) thread! The Discussion thread
This is like Sleeping Sun, but 10 times better, and more atmospheric. It's perfect. I don't see how the album version will be able to improve on this.

Coldplay to Launch Q Radio - June 2nd (Lovers In Japan Exclusive First Play)
I uploaded the whole Q interview about half an hour ago in the multimedia section, if anyone wants it. I forgot to mention it earlier, sorry. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2367114&postcount=192

02-Jun-08: Favourite Interview - KROQ or Q Radio?
I voted QPM on a whim, because we actually got answers. But this is exactly what I think too. The KROQ one was much more enjoyable, for sure.
-
What the hell is that song then?
Q magazine quoted the song DAAHF as having the lyrics that we hear in the Grey's Anatomy song. Read the article yourself, it might be an edited / non-album version of the song, but one way or the other, its got to be DAAHF. You also cannot ignore Debs Wild. ABC says it also. And none of us would have thought it was Lovers In Japan if Locust hadn't told us it was. And since he's now even HE has admitted that he made a mistake, I don't think there's enough reason why anyone should believe that this song is anything else but DAAHF.

That's 42.
