How long does it take to publish a tracklisting?
Honestly, if thats not the release date, and they havn't corrected it out of shear laziness, I might have to find a reasonably unpopulated area to explode. The bad kind of explode that is. Like self destruct. If I was a band member and i saw a trusted source like Rolling Stone posting a false date, I would be fumbling to correct the mistake as soon as possible so as to not mislead fans. Lets hope it doesn't come to that though.

Haha! He may be as frustrated as us fans are. So yeah, he might be saying this stuff on the official site to put the guys under pressure. I'm not sure whether its working either though.

How long does it take to publish a tracklisting?
I'm hoping that's why theyre taking longer than expected as well, but I dunno, I can't see the Violet Hill thing happening right now. Prospekt has always seemed like a slow character to me "We should be finished in 4-5 weeks... then 6 weeks later: "We'll be finished by the end of the week." So basically it went from a maximum of 5 weeks to 7 weeks, and seeing as it took longer than expected last time, I wouldn't really be surprised if theyre still working on it now, even though they should have the album completely done now. Which of course annoys the hell out of me, because I hate it when they put a deadline on this stuff and leave us hanging when somethings been delayed. I wouldn't have so much of a problem if Prospekt actually made an effort in keeping us updated more often. The only thing he's come clean about is the album title. Thats it. STOP BEING SO CRYPTIC! A Parachutes 'moment'
Thats a really great story. I like how you remember the precise date! My brain can't cope with remembering information like that :P The funny thing is that when I was listening to Parachutes and AROB multiple times that night I had no idea which was released first, but I distinctly remember listening to AROB first, and parachuts straight afterwards. So for a few days I was like "ooh this band have really improved on this one!" Thinking that Parachutes was their second album, haha. So I guess Parachutes was my first love, but AROBTTH managed to grow on me and now I think it's their best yet. Its just that Parachutes is irresistibly mellow and atmospheric, which makes it easier for me to love I suppose.

A Parachutes 'moment'
Oooh, I really like sparks. Reminds me of the first time I heard both Parachutes and AROBTTH on the same night sometime in December 2004. That was an amazing day.

Coldplay: In the Studio
^Hmm didn't notice that before... maybe just random attempts at sorting out the tracklisting, or it could very well be messages to put up on their site. Who knows. And we're due a tracklisting this week

Coldplay: In the Studio
One of the users here might post the full picture that was included in the rolling stone magazine, which includes guy on the left there. Why they cropped him out is a mystery.

The word masterpeice / masterwork within music
I agree with this list, although I'm probably one of the few people out there who enjoys the Beatles' earlier work such as Revolver more than The White Album or Abbey Road. Although I obviously think that songs like Back in the USSR and Come Together are really great. And I'm glad I'm seeing AROBTTH and OK Computer along side each other.

What Would you Do in my Place?
We'll we've talked about this briefly before, but if I was in your place, I would definitely look into this other, "better" place. The thing is, I would be too afraid to look back on my decisions 10 years from now and say "if only I'd taken that film course". If its definitely better suited to your needs and its not too far away from home, then go for it. You've only been at you're college for a few months, right? I'm not sure if you've really connected with anyone yet or whether you've decided to stay in you're dorm most of the time, but if it's still all feeling a bit new to you, maybe you should make a move before you get too settled. I've always felt slightly out of place in previous institutes (academic ones that is), but not here. When I looked at the distances involved with my chosen Uni (University of Kent) I was put off because it was so far away from home. But when I got there, I didn't regret it. The course is good, and I'm working with like-minded people, which makes the whole experience a whole lot more enjoyable. The fact that you are having doubts at this stage in your education tells me that a change of plan is in order. You should be happy on your course and know that it will help you get closer to your dreams. And I'm not talking about being unhappy with 2 or 3 modules. If the whole course is not for you, then I would consider looking for an alternative. It would be eating me up inside if I knew that moving to this other place was not only possible, but also miles better in terms of what the course offers, and the fact that it's closer to home. It is a risk, but one worth taking to be honest. I may sound a little too confident, but in my experience these radical decisions can only make things better in the long run. But think it through Chelsea, it's something that needs time to sink in. Lengthy post but I hope it helps :nice:

Radiohead
Seconded. I listened to OK Computer for the first time in August 2006 and that song has stayed with me ever since.

It's getting hard to sit
Haha, what I'm doing right now in fact :nice: It's getting a bit hot, though.

It's getting hard to sit
5/6 hours is nothing, really. Try 10. But seriously, all I can suggest is removing yourself from the screen as fast as possible, because getting up at 7 with less than 4 hours sleep is not a nice experience.

Haha, made me laugh. [/overuse_of_parentheses] I stay here far too late. But I have bad sleep habits anyway.
