wow, i skipped this thread because of the name, not that i know the person but felt it was like the official board, and i skip name threads. but through boredom i visisted, and was quite saddened. Although i believe honesty is the best policy, i feel sad that someone who has the responsibility of showing others how they should act, behaves like this... plus, sometimes you have to do the right thing in order to maintain peace, and a level head. Grow up heathen, no-one can like everyone, it's life. whether online or real life..if you dont like ignore, unless in an arguement..when tempers are high and then things can be more easily explained and ignored mmm biscuits

i'd also like to add, cos if i edit people will miss it due to reading my earlier post, that a lot of the time people are suicidal due to chemical imbalancies in the brain and so pickup on any silly little thing they can. It's not immaturity as such, although the highest age risk are teenagers..but then bearing in mind it's to do with chemical inbalancies, and then you remember puberty...it links. We also know how cruel kids can be, with all this, and a lack of interest in how people are in todays society, always being told how you should look, and with chemicals messing with you, it can be too much for some to handle...a lt of the time artists are just what they used to relax, think about, vent with...

although i agree with Phil about artists plugging teen angst for money, i also disagree, for a lot of it is real... also, you mention nirvana because Kurt wrote how he felt, but you mention how artist plug..it's a paradox in a way...as i said, some artists do plug, some don't I however believe that no matter what people sing and write about, as a human being you have something called FREE WILL, which means the ability to choose, the ability to do as we please. We are not puppets, words in a song or poem do not dictate what we say/think and do. It's merely to entertain, and at best to help us understand perhaps ourselves. Besides, if musicians are to blame, then aren't films, tv programs computer games etc? Soaps often have killings, underage sex, affairs, suicide and rape, in an effort to boost ratings, do people go off and do as they see? No! and, ok some claim to be influenced, but lets be honest, if they are, then they weren't really in the correct frame of mind and would have done so eventually anyway. It's not monkey see monkey do, this is just a way to try to make some people believe that the problem is recent, when in actual fact there have been no real increase in suicide rates. It's an old problem, dating back before records were kept. As for people quoting songs in notes, well sometimes it's easier to quote than to say how you feel, it's also easy to relate to.
