This and the ad in the metro fits perfectly with Chris description of the album as the culmination of a journey (the previous 6 albums). The artwork is trying to convey that everything is connected but at the same time it forms something new in its own right.

Its going to be a massive coincidence that the album will be released exactly one year after Chris announced its title.

I think that something happened along the process. Maybe they came up with a new song (or two) and had to halt everything to record them properly. That in turn caused everything to be pushed back and hence, this extra waiting we are facing now. For instance, the following tweet from Rik Simpson on September 9, seemed to implied that the album was pretty much ready. Also, around that date he published a blog entry titled: "This Is All".

Coldplayzone is reporting that the Latin American leg of the AHFOD tour has been postponed to April-May 2016 (I understand that originally it was expected to arrive to such region on February-March 2016). According to the source, the band had a "GREAT" reason for the postponement and the tour will arrive with a "GIANT" novelty. (http://www.coldplayzone.it/news/il-tour-sudamericano-di-promozione-di-a-head-full-of-dreams-sara-spostato-ad-aprile-maggio-2016) I wonder if this postponement has anything to do with the band (probably) pushing back the date of release of the album.

The problem is that they built up the hype with the recording of the music video in India and then the performances in the two festivals. A band should not do that and then disappear once again for several months, since the indirect message that they were sending is that they were getting ready to come back into scene.

Christa, are the "news" you referred to when you went to that event in NYC with Chris already in the public domain? Or it is still a secret? Thank you!

Why is the band so silent about everything? Is not fair with us fans. They could say that it's going to take longer than expected. That they are still in the recording studio, that they want to wait till next year, that a surprise is coming. But why the silence? It is torture!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams" Interesting. "Name and Likeness" is a very particular name.

The Adele factor is important but I do not think that both artists actually target the same public. Of course there will be persons who are fan of both bands but overall, my humble opinion is that they are not direct competition.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams" It's been a week now since we were told we were going to get something "in a few days". Chris is back in LA, though. It could be for the weekend or it could be that they are really done with the album. Either way, I really doubt that we will get something tomorrow. Maybe they had tomorrow in mind but it got pushed back because of Adele's single release. Rik's tweet gives me some hope. I bet we will get something for sure in a few weeks or a month at the most.

I really doubt we will get something this week. It's already Wednesday and there has been no teasing at all.

December 4, 2014 was indeed the day that Chris revealed the album title to Zane Lowe.

Ha! To me it seems they are still in the studio working on the music. So I doubt we will have any announcement this week.
