  1. So AOAL is the only "disco" song in the album. I would never have cataloged it as a disco song, but that was Chris said.
  2. the_escapist replied to getithom's topic in Up&Up
Chris just confirmed in the KROQ interview that Noel only has a guitar solo in the song. He does not sing.
  3. That was great! I am so happy to see them happy!
  4. Too much collaborations, in my honest opinion!
  5. We will get this one before December 4! :D
  6. I am really looking forward to this one!
  7. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
  8. Apparently Gwyneth Paltrow provided backing vocals in a track. https://twitter.com/NiallMDoherty/status/662551724788350976
  9. To put it short: the only problem with the song are its lyrics. I can't believe they got Will's seal of approval.
  10. This is the first time that a Coldplay song really warrants a separate review of the music and the lyrics. The music finds the band reinventing themselves in unexpected ways. It's a funky track with a great hook just before the chorus. You can really feel the whole band taking part in the song, each member adding its own signature to the upbeat track. Jonny's riff is addicting, Will's rhythm is flawless and Guy's bass just dresses the song up to perfection. Chris's voice is kind of different to previous songs, but in a good way. He seems in really good shape. The lyrics, though, are substandard. Coming from the same man who years ago gave us tracks such as The Scientist and Viva la Vida, these lyrics are too obvious and seem to be written just for the purpose of dressing an upbeat song. There is no real message behind the song and for Coldplay, that is something to regret. Time will tell if the song stands. For now, I will rate it with a 5/10.
  11. Let's be honest: the lyrics are terrible. Unbelievably cheesy.
  12. Are they done in the BBC Radio 1 show or are they still coming back?
  13. "We are diamonds taking shape"??? I am sorry Chris, but lyrics of this song are terrible! :-(
  14. Hymn for the Weekend? What the f*ck, Chris Martin?
