Actually the ladies faced quite a few upsets apart from Na Li. For example, Cetkovska beating Radwanska and Petrova winning over Pavlyuchenkova. And Stosur was out after the first round.

Agreed, that's probably right. Seeing that Roddick is allowed to play on centre court again today whilst Wozniacki is on court 2 (she's the #1 nonetheless despite the lack of grand slam titles), I understand the frustration. I guess the nicer way of doing it would have been to keep quiet and complain about it internally afterwards. However, I guess she'll get her way now i.e. quite an effective strategy to get on centre court. lol

tickets for court 2 are still more expensive and people are willing to pay for it in order to see the best players. that's not a disgrace for the defending champion.

Yesterday I had an amazing day at Wimbledon! We went off to see Kvitova and were wondering why so many people cheered in that ground court 30min before play. Ha, it was Djokovic practicing! Being a bit assertive we got some first row seats and enjoyed his practice and then Kvitova's match. What a start! Afterwards we saw Tipsarevic, an amazing match between Baghdatis and Blake, Bartoli and Melzer. Great day and no rain at all!!! I even got a little bit sunburned. :D However, I hope the rain will now stop in Wimbledon and we have the chance to see some good matches on TV.

WIMBLEDON STARTS TOMORROW!!!:vuvuzela: Really looking forward to see what Murray can do. So jealous of those that managed to go see the Queen's final live. Albeit being so close to London I couldn't make it. Will hopefully be off to Wimbledon on Tuesday to see a couple of low-seeded players on the grounds. Gosh, feels like ages since the last time I have been there! I'm rooting for Sharapova (as usual :laugh3:) and will be interested to see Djokovic's performance on the grass courts. And actually, lately I have been hitting the tennis courts a few times myself again... it's the peak of the tennis season!

und? sind wir jetzt alle traurig, dass der thomas gottschalk aufgehört hat? fand die sendung als kind total dufte, obwohl ich immer nur die hälfte verstanden habe. allerdings war jetzt die letze show in mallorca richtig schlecht (und nicht nur diese) und ich denke mir, dass es wohl langsam zeit wurde damit aufzuhören...

Agreed, he played astonishingly good! I'm glad he managed to win so easily - a tiny revenge for the SF at Wimbledon 2009. :sneaky: Also, James Ward really gave his best. I think a 3rd set was possible but he had nothing to lose and nothing to prove. Well done to him!
