i'm pressed for time right now but i can at least answer a couple of these for you: confetti started in the VIVA tour. they would drop butterfly-shaped confetti during Lovers in Japan. for the MX tour, the confetti took the shape of the symbols for all the songs + butterflies. i'm not sure off the top of my head what all the confetti is/was for Ghost Stories and AHFOD because i never got my hands on any of that :P as for Chris singing "my love" - Yellow isn't the only song he's done that on, i think, though it's certainly the one he does most often. it seems like it's just him improvising, no different than adding some extra "ah"s or "oh"s to a song in concert

every time i listen, the ending reminds me of the ending of this: :D

after you tap past the opening screen, there's just music notes that play along with circles on the screen. it doesn't necessarily sync with the song on it's own - by default the app will play with the Flower of Life appearing in various vertical locations but always centered horizontally. you can tap anywhere on the screen to make a single circle appear and note play. the circle scales up and fades out as the note plays (same with the Flower of Life symbols). each tap will repeat the circle and note 5 times before disappearing completely.

oh, ok, i see it now. it seems all the digital options have it listed as EP Mix, but the tracklisting for anything on the Coldplay site (aka the announcement and the physical releases in the store) don't have that. interesting...

man, thank god this video had the lyrics in it :joy: (which, btw, incredible style and animation in this video, i love it) one thing i do like about Chris's vocal effects and just the way he is singing generally is that in the beginning it's suuuuper distorted/muffled and as the song goes on his words become much clearer, less echo-y, etc. which all fits with how the rest of the music sort of... folds into itself? i talked about this a bit in the EP thread, but i love how it feels like at the start all four boys are just playing their own things, all just happening to mesh well, but as the song goes on they slowly start working toward each other and eventually end up as one cohesive unit. it's like listening to a musical puzzle putting itself together. that moment when Chris sings "all i can think about is you" and Jonny's riff matches perfectly gets me every time :heart_eyes:

been thinking about this this morning... so we have: a dystopian love story aliens hypnosis hmmm, this feels more like a relation to MX than AHFOD :joy: :heart_eyes: this is what i was thinking, too. unless people think they might have continued to work on it? but i wouldn't think so since they released the song already... obviously SJLT will be a different version but that is clearly marked in both the announcement and tracklisting. that works for me! thank you :D i love that slow build, in both this and Hypnotised. to me, i think the difference is that in Hypnotised the highest point of the song is at the very end, whereas in AICTAIY that climax comes when J's riff aligns with Chris singing "All I can think about is you" and really at that moment it's like the whole band is playing the same song. before that, it feels like they are playing in a way that meshes well but is still somehow separate from one another. then at that part i mentioned and afterward, it's one cohesive unit.

oh yeah, i remember hearing about that not too long ago how did we come across this information? i only ask because i don't remember it being known when MX came out (of course i could be wrong) so just wondering if maybe this is newer information that i missed... or still older information that i missed back then :p but anyway, it's very exciting!

wait, are you this person who i just happened to start following this morning? :eek: anyway, you pose an interesting question. i don't necessarily think the image and Coldplay's video are related, because hers seems to be more like neon lights than just plain line art which is what the CP video is. but anything is possible, i suppose

i can't comment on that first thing because i really love what they did with AOAL :P but i already caved in and started listening to the live version of AICTAIY on repeat :X
