I am a bit worried because they clearly use the melody from Tom Petty's Mary Jane's Last Dance at times (chorus) and he already sued the Red Hot Chili Peppers for copying part of this song... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUj4xfZQjqA It is the chorus... Man I hope nothing happens with that because I love the song. I am sure they didn't copy it, but it is definitely similar.

The "I heard it on the radio" part has the same melody as the chorus in Mary Jane's Last Dance by Tom Petty. Just a little snippet and of course not lawsuit worthy, but it is a great melody. I love this song!

I think the feel of the song and the theme is radioheadish. Not a big U2 guy so can't really comment there.

No argument on bodysnatchers being better than this track. But I like the direction. I can appreciate that everyone makes different songs and sounds and this one is pretty stellar.

Forget about the odd vocal effect for a second (which I don't love, but can appreciate). This is the edginess that a coldplay song just has never had. It is uptempo and really has some teeth. I can't ever remember hearing a song that had the real darkness and power of a Muse or a radiohead song like Bodysnatchers, but this is it. The guitar work here is amazing, and the bass work is as good as I have heard out of Coldplay. This is a fantastic song. They really have that Radiohead sound right now, but in their own unique way.

Thank god we will never extend welfare to non citizens in this nation. We like to work for our money here. Phew.

Are you serious? Butchering California Dreaming? That was a very nice cover imo. A cover like Hendrix would do back in the day. One of the better late night talkshow performances I have seen.

Did you know that Chris supports Fair trade and not Free trade. Free trade is imo easily the better of the two for the world as a whole. But for you to say that, and not even know that chris supports fair trade and not free trade is a bit asinine.

He is a singer, who says he is intelligent? Honestly guys, most singers/band members aren't as smart as most of the population. Look to the rest of the world, to the academic communities to find smart people to look up to. This comment is, however, hilarious. The James Blunt part is priceless.

What the world needs is free trade, with rules to protect small countries and workers from being exploited, but that is just me.

The thing is, none of this caused the current problems. That was caused by Banks all over the world giving loans to people that couldn't pay them off later.

Ok, I need to get this out there. Chris Martin wants to Make Trade FAIR. FAIR, is the OPPOSITE of FREE. You have no idea what you are talking about. I am an economics major and do know what I am talking about. I love Chris Martin, but this is one thing that the world does not understand. Fair trade makes the world poorer, the poorer get poorer, there is much research to back this up. Free trade is the way to increase wealth. If you look at the countries with the lowest trade barriers, these are the most rich countries in the world, which also increases the median wealth of those in poverty and decreases those in abject poverty (Living on 1 dollar per day or less). Fair trade does nothing but hinder the ability to create wealth that the world can share, it is socialist Fair Trade that looks good on the outside, but does not achieve what it says it does.

Sounds like a joke from Bono there guys, just not a well delivered one. He also gives Chris a big complement.
