It's definitely a C :). Do all the chords sound bad, or just those high up the neck? If so, it could be because of bad intonation. Oh, and the C/G in the tab is supposed to be 0 8 9 10 10 8 Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Tune the 1st string down to C (you can easily do this by turning the knob until it sounds like the 1st fret on the 2nd string), and you'll have the correct tuning. You could try playing AROBTTH with this tuning too, it sounds awesome. And I'd add to that tab, that Chris uses his thumb on the 6th string (placed on the same fret as the index finger).

Hi and welcome! I don't think instrumentals of the VLV album have been made (please correct me if I'm wrong). You can download all the instrumentals from X&Y here: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23296 They're 128 kbps mp3s, and they all contain the drummer shouting "1, 2, ..." etc. in the beginning. If you want a higher quality rip of Fix You (and perhaps another file format than mp3) and want the drummer's voice removed, let me know.

How much money have you spent on Coldplay?
I wasn't thinking about transportation costs, but feel free to add it as a side note if you want to. Oh, and this was the most fitting section in my opinion, but just move it if it's in the wrong place.

How much money have you spent on Coldplay?
It would be fun (scary?) to see how much money the people at Coldplaying have spent on Coldplay over the years. I'm mainly thinking of things you have bought that the band itself gets money from; Albums/singles/DVDs, concert tickets, tab/chord books, clothes and other Coldplay merchandise. When summed up, I think this could be a quite large amount. So make an estimate, and post the amount in $/£/€. You can easily convert between currencies here: Personally, I haven't bought that much stuff, and haven't been to concerts. But I guess CDs plus some tab books add up to about $110. So, if you dare, post your spendings! (Oh, and don't feel bad if you've spent a lot - I bet in most cases it's been worth the money!)

I just tried out that tab (the intro), and I think it's pretty good. I made some minor adjustments to the part in question (might not be correct, but I think it sounds better), and did a quick sound recording. I just heard (the brand new?) Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground for the first time 10 minutes ago. It's evident that the guitar in that song is not in standard tuning. I happened to have my acoustic guitar in CACGBC tuning (used in Til Kingdom Come), and thought I heard similar chords. So I picked up the guitar and found out that CACGBC is most likely the tuning used in NMFWTTG. I haven't had the time to put together a complete chord pattern, but here are some chords you could try (I used the same chord names as the X&Y tab book used). They are probably in the order of "appearance" :P: .......C5..Csus2...C*....C...Gsus4... Lucky dutchmen! What's up with Chris' "Buh-buh-bury me in armour"? He's done that in all three live versions of VH that I've seen :wacko:. Will's VLV drumming is really cool - it's a good workout indeed.

I guess he plays in standard tuning. He uses his thumb on the E-string throughout the song, but in the outro he also plays some regular bar chords (marked with a star (*)). I'm not 100% sure about the outro, since the camera isn't filming his guitar all the time. There are some rapid chord changes there - maybe someone can correct me?
