  1. omg all those pics....ahhhh:rolleyes5::freak::bomb: and i just came over here to post this: where they're making a super-sexy Coldplay sandwich!!!!
  2. wow I love this one!!(beautiful smile, a little chest showing, all shiny!) I think this pseudo-french revolutionary look they've got going this tour looks best on Guy...I'm not a fan of vests, really, but on Guy it's somehow sexy... ooh a little chest showing:wink3: blue shirt or red??? (I think I'm gonna go over and add this one to the Will thread as well...he & Guy are sexy bookends!)
  3. what??? hahaha "the fanclub meeting has been postponed," if he only knew then that now we're having "Phil Fanclub" meetings sort of... LOL and that's an awesome copy of that song! it's such good quality, you can really hear each instrument sounding awesome. love how you can really pick out the bass line, especially, since it isnt usually so noticeable...THANKS for posting!!!!
  4. I think they're each a little jealous...;) It's ok boys! There's enough looove around for everyone!!!!
  5. I know :smug:LOL. let's hope it keeps up! and to think, just the other day I was a "lurker"....This place is too damn addictive, damn it!!!!
  6. OMG you're the best! (and i'm slow ) THANK YOU!!! Will's face is so cute in that one:kiss:
  7. :lol:ha! i'm just lazy&technologically impaired I guess, then. You guys are soo good! I'm so glad I went crazy this morning and started ranting&complaining about lack of Will love:D. Hey fudge, since you are an"official" willuver, and oh so talented pic spammer lol, any chance you'd find a pic from the last Spin Magazine article (or anyone else who's a good searcher?)..I've tried to search for it and came up with nothing. It's of the 4 guys, with Will&Chris in the middle hugging. It was with the Editor's letter, right before the article. I've seen scans of the other pics, but not of this one. I f#%&@n looove it! It's so cute. I have the mag but no scanner:\
  8. ooohhh killer post!!! btw where are you finding all these great Will-alone pics??? I did a quick search on google and I can barely find ones w/out the rest of the guys. (which is ok, but sometimes you just want to focus on just one man at a time ;))
  9. haha...i love how you can hear that girl saying "oh man, Guy is sexy!" AMEN SISTER!
  10. oohh I like that one^, Angie!! aww you're always so "supportive":P
  11. Ok, Ive got something to get off my chest. Why the hell is the Will thread not on the 1st page, like the other guys?!?! Is he not as hot, as sexy, as talented, as the other three??? Ummm NO. Am I the only one who loves and appreciates this sexy drummer??? That just can't be! Are Will lovers just shy, compared to the pervy Guy fans, or the obsessed Jonny fans, or the multitude of Chris fans??? (I say this with much love--I also frequent those threads as well ;)) I love all the guys equally, but especially lately with this new album and having seen them live recently, my Will love has reached new heights. And not just in a girly fan-girl kinda way. The percussion in the new songs is really great, and really stands out in this album . It might be my favorite part! I love the part in VLV when Will starts beating the hell outta the bell:D. And my fave part of the concerts in when we get to hear Will sing. He's such a multi-talented guy, and it's great to see the different sides to him... He's also really sexy...always looking tough&serious...but when we get a smile it's the sweetest thing! (and don't get me started on daddyWill holding the baby pic!) So, in the spirit of bumping Will up to page 1, like he deserves, here are some goodies.... devilish smile.... tough guy look... sexy legs suited up! Casual... thoughtful.... in action and from my personal collection, taken w/ my very own crappy camera... (i'd like to think he was looking directly at me...shhh don't kill my fantasy!:laugh3:) Hope it inspires lurking Will lovers to keep his thread on the first page!:)
  12. CONGRATS!!! you're so crrrzzzzzyyyy!!!!:P
  13. Ok, it seems like everyone's got the gist of the article already, no new info really, but it took me a while to translate, so I'm gonna post it anyway :smug:. Had to exercise the Spanish side of my brain, and it's a little rusty! :embarassed:Sorry if it's not the best, I have a 3rd grader's knowledge of Spanish grammar (then I moved to US and been speaking/writing English pretty much exclusively since then) Anyway...here goes... “We don’t want to be U2” In an exclusive with Excelsior, Chris Martin gives us the reasons why they decided to work with Brian Eno, producer of the Irish band, and why they needed to go down a different path… The group’s fourth disc not only represents the opportunity for them to vindicate themselves with their fans, but also a new musical path for one of the representative bands of current times. Washington. With all the excitement surrounding the release of the latest CD from Coldplay, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, behind them, the band now has time to think about the importance of their album, the great expectations it caused with their fans, and the commitment they are in to keep reinventing in the future. Involved in a marathon tour throughout the US, Chris Martin, singer and leader of the British group, explains from the Verizon Center, that it was they themselves who looked for a change in direction. That’s why they contacted one of the most recognizable producers in the music industry, Brian Eno, who is responsible for, among other things, giving U2 their signature brand. “Brian was a hero to us way before we ever worked with him, thanks to his work from when he was with Roxy Music, and what he did with bands like Talking Heads, U2, and with David Bowie. Even now we play some of those songs, in the moments right before hitting the stage, so when we knew we had an opportunity to work with him, we were really excited,” Martin said in an exclusive interview with Excelsior, about the producer, who allowed them to explore new sounds in their music. “He became a teacher for us; he made us see things in music we hadn’t before. It all started when we listened to Donna Summers albums with him, that all caused us to change the way we did things. That was something very important, because it broke down our standard without imposing, in other words, he didn’t show up with a set way he wanted us to sound, he just came in to give us different ways to reach our own creative process. That I enjoyed very much,” explained Martin, singer, pianist, guitarist for the band. And it was that will to reinvent themselves that concluded in a drastic change in the purpose of the band and it’s three previous albums, Parachutes(2000), A Rush of Blood to the Head(2002), X&Y(2005), and the new sound of it’s current Viva La Vida… That change occurring was something that Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion had been looking for previously, without it being dependent on luck or factors outside the group. “It was a decision we took ourselves, we did it because we thought it was risky to repeat and bore ourselves, as well as people getting tired of the same sound. Really, we wanted to work with new people, and fortunately, we wear able to work with Brian and were able to go through a different process than what we’d done before. The idea was to become something new, “ commented Martin, who is married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow since December 2003, and with whom he has had two children, Apple, four years old, and Moses, two. Nevertheless, taking a chance on changing its essence under Brian Eno’s hands has again brought about comparisons with U2, an evaluation that has never been liked by Martin’s band and company. “We don’t want to be the new U2, we love the band, but we have our own identity. I think we just want to be a great band. What I mean by that is we always try to make the best music possible and to give the best concerts, which are what we aspire to.” Going for More The period of searching for improvement is tough, but at the same time presents an opportunity for the band not to fall back on its laurels. The key, says Martin, is not to believe it. “Our perspective has not changed much, what has happened is that we’ve realized that being a successful band doesn’t mean much, without really enjoying what you’re doing. We want to keep pursuing new challenges, we need to work hard so that success that we may have has meaning, and we become better musicians, because there are those that don’t understand that being famous is not the same as being a good musician.” Maybe that’s why Coldplay continues to find inspiration for its music in the little everyday details. Four successful albums have not blurred Martin and his group’s vision, who still consider themselves able to keep dreaming of new plans. “Inspiration comes from things and places that we’ve never known before. Trips to Latin America, to Mexico, all that has changed the direction of our music. Also, technology allows access to many types of music that before would’ve taken years to listen to, now you can do instantly. You can listen to anything; everything is at your fingertips and keyboard. Now is a very exciting time in the music industry, which feeds our inspiration. For a band that has conquered the European and American markets, that fills stadiums and sells millions of CDs, it can become difficult to find new goals. But Chris Martin prefers to live in the moment, and for now is focused on the tour they’re on. “We want this to be the best tour we’ve done in our career and we will continue working on our next albums. But before that, probably next year we will be in Mexico, even though we don’t have an exact date. Mexico City is the best place to give a concert,” said Martin. Chris Martin has been characterized by his involvement with social causes that have him become a voice or image for campaigns like that of Oxfam, with whom he was even traveled to learn about the consequences of unfair trade. “We will continue to work with Oxfam; we only support it, since there are people who know a lot more about it than we do. We do what we can, with ads and things like that to try to make things change. Hopefully one day it’ll happen, “he said.

The Oracle replies: Regardless of being either a pessimist or optimist, if we're talking about an empty glass that you half fill, it's half full. If we're talking about a full glass and drink/empty out half, it becomes half empty. :)
