It was great fun apart from everyone asking for asl (age/sex/location) all the time like in every chatroom back then! I'm actually feeling old now, you must of been like 6 or 7 back then Jonny cake? :laugh3:

Around 20-25 later on in the day, its a mixture of a few things though : Not that much interest in Ghost Stories after a few months, awaiting LP7, no tour right now, less people using forums altogether in favour of social networks perhaps (we're among the active ones still) and larger amounts of members who posted very frequently (mainly in the lounge) not being active right now. When LP7 starts to come out and when the next world tour is announced, it will be much busier, it's the nature of things being a fansite and when the band have a quieter period.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the who's online other than the members logged in, most of the public views were spiders, it was 1.5-2k including guests before GS (just a little lower on total page views per day now compared to then) but crawling has been limited as it was taking un-needed server resources :P

For sure! The soundtrack is released on Dec 15th so that could be the release date of Miracles too. The releases from that week will be fighting for Christmas number 1. I have a feeling Miracles will be released before that though, then I think without the first week boost, it's not gonna happen. We will see though, i'll be more than happy to promote that if it has a chance! I was one of the first few hundred members of the Rage Against The Machine campaign in 2009, it was the most amazing feeling after we all made music history. The margin was so small, Killing In The Name made it to number 1 because someone found a way for an extra sale to count via the Nokia music store towards the end of the week, just when Simon Cowell/Xfactor looked sure to be number 1 :)

The Coldplaying contributor contest for October has ended and KaeEM is the 1st place winner, winning a Ghost Stories button set and Member of the Month! Thanks to everyone else for their great contributions this month too :D The league table for October is shown below : The points system from this month will be based on the top thumbs ups for the month and won't be in the league table format as before. Most of my favourite Coldplay vids are when they perform together, it's all about the chemistry! I can't wait for this :)

Intersting! What direction do you all think they will go in after LP7 / the record deal finishes? Going independent/creating their own label would be a massive surprise but its not out of the question as they the people around them to thrive still in music industry. Change in sound more likely, perhaps becoming a lot more experimental after a big seventh album full of stadium anthems? ;)
