Miracles (2014)

Discussion of Miracles, a song written and recorded for the 2014 drama film Unbroken, directed by Angelina Jolie. Released on 11 December 2014.

So you never can tell how the Best Original Song Oscar race will turn out, and the highest of profiles isn't necessarily a guaranteed pass. Nevertheless, this year's race — already marked by contenders from popular music such as New Radicals' Gregg Alexander ("Begin Again") and the legendary Patti Smith ("Noah") — has just picked up a trio of heavy hitters. 3. I just have to say.. The placement of Miracles was so perfect, in my opinion. It was a great film overall (again, my opinion), and the fact that they put a Coldplay song at the end made it better! Yeah, it was mostly the credits, but the song started a little before...and...goodness...I cried my eyes out in the theatre. Oh, the emotions! I love this song, and hearing it in the movie made it like it even more :) Did anyone else watch it? What did you think?

Ok. I know that Miracles is not a part of AHFOD because it ws only a bonus track. But I do felt like Miracles ws absolute perfectly fitted in AHFOD! It makes me wanna listen to AHFOD all over again. Nd everytime I listen to Miracles, I felt that my life needed to continue, even though hardship will hit me like a bus. One of the best Coldplay songs out there!

  5. Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Coldplay, Glen Campbell, Patti Smith Among Oscar Song Contenders 79 songs qualify for Oscars, four more than last year Coldplay, singer-songwriter Lorde and Lana Del Rey, country icon Glen Campbell and punk priestess Patti Smith are among the contenders for the Oscar for Best Original Song, the Academy announced on Friday. Their songs were part of a list of 79 eligible songs that was released by the Academy, four more/less than last year's total of 75. Coldplay is eligible for “Miracles,” a song from the Angelina Jolie film “Unbroken.” Lorde wrote and performs “Yellow Flicker Beat” from “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One.” Del Rey wrot…
