Is the money and fame getting to Chris Martin's songwriting abilities??
A great artist it's by definition an unhappy person, somebody who has such intense unaccomplished desires that he needs to proyects them into art if he has the capability and sensibility to do it. Why Thom Yorke it's still an artist and Chris Martin it is not anymore? Because Yorke's discontent is part of his nature. When he reached the glory he became even more "crazy", so he was able to get better with every record. Yorke may be a millionaire with his live solved, but in his heart there always be a "spark" that tries to reach to something else than empty success. When Martin was young he was a nerd, he was frustated because he wanted to have sex with beautiful women. So he used his talent to express his anguish and inner feelings into his songs. But now we know that Martin is a superficial person. Now that he's sexy, rich and idolazed his life is accomplished. Mylo Xyloto is not a work of art beacause his author aim is not to express his desires in the only way he knows. His target is to throw a new hit, to do something cool (or so it thinks) like his friends Jay-Z and other millionaires does. Notes: 1.I'm personazing Radiohead and Coldplay too much into their frontmans, but I think you'll get the point. 2. I don't like Thom Yorke's latest artistic efforts (but they are certainly "artistic")

Rank The Albums
1. Parachutes 2. Viva La Vida 3. A Rush Of Blood to the Head (with this 3 it's actually a tie) 4. X&Y And that's all. For the moment I refuse to consider MX as a Coldplay album. At least it doesn't sound like it were.

Slowed down the Intro :D
Well, it's a cool idea to speed up the chorus and put it in the intro. But if it affects negatively in the music (as it does) it's not really cool... It sounds like annoying babies, and ruined a really great intro and bridge.

Have they lost their minds?
A few years ago there was a poll here wondering what LP5 sound like: http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=Polls&req=results&pollID=100 Only a 1.02% chose the correct answer.

Who Else Loves the Last 15 Seconds of Paradise?
Yes, me too, I love when it finally ends hahahhahaha

Have they lost their minds?
BRAVO!!!! I 100% agree. I'm one of those who had been following Coldplay since AROBTTH. This band is part of my life. And it's very sad seing them turned into a crappy boyband or whatever this shit is. By the way. I'm that "someone" :)

Natalia Imruglia's "Fun" = Paradise Violin's!
It is Coldplay Revenge for Inbruglia's Shiver mwahahaha

It's clear: "Paradise" - made for new, not old fans
Hey I saw that avatar first ;)

It's clear: "Paradise" - made for new, not old fans
It's very very very sad that a band as huge as Coldplay wants to make new fans rather than make good music. Very sad. C.Martin: "Oh, people nowadays don't like Radiohead or Beatles, we should stop trying to do this kind of music, cause nowadays people preffer Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, so we should do stuff like that" Very very sad.

Yep. Brian Eno was a genious decades ago. But now he's destroying Coldplay's sound. With the band's help of course. Rihanna??? WTF lol

ETIAW vs. Paradise
I agree with everything. Coldplay 1998/2008 Newplay 2011/2065 Do you realized that Mylo Xyloto is just the first of many horrendous Newplay albums to come?? We're gonna miss so much those pre-MX times in the next years/decades.

ETIAW vs. Paradise
Both are great Beyonce singles... wait... what?... they are Coldplay singles???

Paradise Clip! (YouTube clip now in first post)
I'm not saying my music is good, I'm just saying that it's better than Paradise. Seriously, Paradise it's a mediocre piece of music, and there are tons and tons of anonymous bands that are capable to do things a lor more creative than this Paradise but you will never listen to it because they haven't all the mainstream gears turning in their favour. Some of you are just deaf. Chris Martin burps and you just burst out into tears saying things like "ooooh happiest day of my life". Coldplay were great in 1999/2009, but 2011's Coldplay sucks.

Why are you so sure about that?? My music is far better than that annoying 30 seconds of boyband stuff.

Paradise Clip! (YouTube clip now in first post)
Yeah, it sounds like OneRepublic trying to sound like Coldplay. Or like Coldplay doing the worst The National's You Were A Kidness cover ever. The chord progression in the intro it's similar to Amsterdam. So you can check the involution of the band comparing the lovely, natural sound in Amsterdam and the noisy, chaotic, electronic, lifeless and synthetic sound in Paradise.

Why everything sounds so dance/retarded in this album. I mean, the song seams great but the "sound", the "production" it's really annoying to me. It would be a huge surprise if it won't be worst Coldplay album by far.

Official Tracklist!!!
Pues a mí Major Minus me aburre, macho.

Official Tracklist!!!
I hate that ETIAW and Major Minus are in the final tracklist. They are bad songs. I was expecting that they were like teasers, something like: "hey guys, we're Coldplay and we have new music, this two, for example. Yeah, we know they are crap, but of course they won't be in the album, which is going to be has great has our previous work". But now it's like this two lame songs are the best songs in the album (God help us all) and the ones that diserved a wider release. Something like: 2008 Viva la Vida ----> 2011 ETIAW 2008 Violet Hill -------> 2011 Major Minus The comparision it's terrible. Now I'm starting to think it's gonna be a really bad album if this two shits are the central part of the work. The answer: sept 11

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?
I think Pithcfork ratings are the most reliable. NME and RS ratings are random and they have a preocupant lack of "vision". But that doesn't mean that I always agree with Pitchfork. Since they are so indie-alternative-arty I think they give fair enough ratings to Coldplay albums. The VLV 6.9 it's a pretty good mark for a pop album. But this time I feel like they are giving MX a very low mark, since Coldplay are "less cool". And although I feel like the album it's going to have a lot of pop great songs, I also think that it's going to be their less arty album.

Will Mylo Xyloto leak? ** EFFECTIVE 16-10 LINKS NOT PERMITTED ** (PART I)
Of course it will leak, every fuckin album leaks sooner or later (except Radiohead's The King of Limbs), but it will leak the 10/15 October, not today.

Hey Coldplay, this is your Joshua Tree moment, don't mess it up.
I love both bands. But it's obvious that Coldplay is not in his Joshua Tree moment. Yeah, it's their 5th album but their careers have developed in a very different way. U2 growed a lot on every new album in the 80's. I think their 3 first albums (Boy, October and War) are not specially brilliant (though War includes master piece Sunday Bloody Sunday) and they began to be brilliant since their 4th album, The Unforgettable Fire (although it's an irregular album), and with the Joshua Tree they finally reach perfection (and with their 6th album they reinvented amazingly with Achtung Baby). But Coldplay has a more "static" career. I think their 4 albums are very similar in quality. Maybe AROBTTH has the brightest highlights but as a whole it is no master piece. and though Coldplay are as lovely as U2 I think they have a lack of a truly classic album as U2's Joshua and Achtung. And I'm afraid MX is not going to be thair truly classic album. Anyway, both bands are far away from the best band ever. The Beatles? Nop. Radiohead? Nop. Correct answer:

What do you think of cover artwork??
Thank God the "a color with a picture smack in the middle of it-era" is over. Welcome to the "every fuckin color in the spectrum background with a title smack in the middle of it-era"!! :laugh3:

MYLO XYLOTO Lyrics
Chris' lyrics have always been lame since the very first song. I'm glad it doesn't change at least :smug:
