wow, thirty years after the Sex Pistols were even vaguely popular this guy comes back and thinks he can just shit on every cool band in the world? what i actually find boring is his willingness to reunite the Pistols for a few bags of cash and beplague our world with their talentless tripe once again (although i have to admit the 'poncy masturbators' comment made me laugh)

great news - not unexpected, but still great hopefully they're lined up for a US #1 too - Lil Wayne is definitely gonna be at the top this week, but he should have dropped by the time it's released over there

trust me, if they wanted to just lipsycnch then the MTV Movie Awards performance would've been a lot better. and then there's the fact that these new songs are very complex and there's only so much you can do with 4 people onstage, particularly seeing as how Eno played many of the instruments on the album along with others who they can't rope in easily. however, you do have a point and it would be nice if they had a live string section or something - we can hope they'll have it for the tour (as all this pre-tour stuff doesn't really warrant getting in extra musicians) and it would be really cool if they did

Lil Wanker can't light a candle to Coldplay, and dont get me wrong, i'm fairly open-minded about rap music but honestly ... give me Strawberry Swing over Lollipop any day of the week

am i the only one having real trouble deciding on a fave? right now i love COL, Lost!, 42, LIJ, Yes, CSC, VLV, Strawberry Swing and DAAHF honestly, i think they're all equally suberb so i chose VLV cos everyone seems to have forgotten about it

Parachutes - Shiver (have people just forgotten how friggin awesome that song is?) AROBTTH - if the whole of Politik sounded like the last minute of it, that'd win, but Amsterdam is perfect the whole way through X&Y - White Shadows (it would've been Talk if I hadn't killed it by playing it 600 times over like the space of a month) VLVODAAHF - all of it! i couldn't say my favourite ATM, but Cemeteries, 42, LIJ, CSC, VLV, Strawberry Swing and DAAHF are all excellent

the opening three (COL, Lost! and 42) are brilliant i'm gonna go with everyone else and say ROL's the worst - it's hard to refute that - but i'm not too crazy about Escapist either
