Yellow electric guitar cover
Definately, i can do it well on acoustic and it sounds great, on electric it would sound 10x better, here is the clip and here is how to play it, personally id love to hear you do it [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vytDDBiPMRc]YouTube - Coldplay - Warning Sign - Glastonbury 2005[/ame] WARNING SIGN (CHRIS) Tuning: EADGBD Capo: Second Intro (sometimes added, sometimes not) Hammer your middle finger 0 1 0 2 3 3 Verse: 0---0---0---0 6---1---8---3 0---0---0---0 7---2---9---4 8---3--10---5 8---3--10---5 For this, hammer your middle finger on the 2nd and 4th chord. You'll hear it in the song Chorus: And the truth is... 0---0---0---0 1---0---3---3 0---0---4---2 2---2---5---0 3---2---5---0 3---0---3---2 and I'm tired... 0---0---0---0 1---0---3---3 2---0---4---2 3---2---5---0 3---2---5---0 1---0---3---2 Hammer the third string on the last chord above and keep that chord going for a bit before going into this bit (only on the second time) The end bit: 'and I crawled...' 0---0---0---0 8---6---1---0 0---0---2---0 9---7---3---2 10--8---3---2 10--8---1---0

i hope so, god id love to find another guitarist who loves coldplay or similar bands, or better someone who can sing, that way we can do the live nights at the uni My first song would be sparks i think, such a lovely intro, green eyes to end, perhaps on guitar though

i tried recording with my cell phone but the quality that came out was terrible, i was strangely proud though when i heard it back, umbelievably muffled but you could hear at least that the song flowed if that makes sense

The end to violet hill almost killed me, i find it very hard to do with a pick so i strum with my thumb, sounds nicer Yeh that scientist 3 chord is amazing, i found one on ultimate guitar which is nice, capo on 3 b7, g D then a weird kind of D which i love to play, i think it sounds slightly nicer but i do love the acoustic version he plays. I love playing til kingdom come, so fun

erm...oasis, death cab for cutie is good, other than that no bands really, i have a bit of an obsession with coldplay songs which i cant explain really, i listen to them on loop most of the time, its what made me want to learn and discover my passion for instruments. Put it this way, im 22 now, leading up to 22 i had no care whatsoever to play musical instruments, then at 22 i discovered warning sign aol sessions, and a spark was lit, literally, i bought a guitar, yamaha 310, not great but a really good starter and play it every day. Then i found the uni music room and started to learn clocks and again a sparks lit. I cant imagine life without my guitar now, soon as i get a digi piano that will be the same

now you say that last night i had a play around, composed about 8 seconds of a nice little ditty, only using the c and d chords and a little run on the right hand. I dont have a piano/keyboard i have to use the uni music rooms, they have grand pianos in there which is great but i have to be out by 10pm, cant play weekends and cant if theres a choir/society taking the rooms. Getting and NP30 hopefully at christmas, have to see how funds are

also recently white christmas and coral of the bells which ive been learning for xmas

Band
honestly ive never tried to learn that, not a fan of it Favourite songs, well ive been playing since october the 2nd and other than a few beatles songs, ive only learned coldplay ones I love the ending of politik, but not a fan of the opening that much I love the opening/middle/end of clocks but not the melody (which i have to play as i dont have a drummer/guitarist handy) Green eyes i love playing as well as reign of love, i love trouble but again not a huge fan of the melody I would say from start to end imagine and hey jude are fun to play, as well as "let it be"

Band
right ive done it, i posted an ad in the universities "find a band " facebook page no going back now

Coldplayer's Music!
When i get me new pc perhaps ill upload a cover So long as you all promise to be nice First one will be warning sign for guitar, cause thats the song that made me start learning (the proper acoustic aol session version) and for the piano either clocks or... green eyes

still feels great whenever i play it, took me a while to do the opening two handed mind, being able to do it with ease now how chris plays it makes me that im making progress. Btw 99% of the versions on youtube (the cover versions) are terrible, most people dont play it two handed at the start, they play a sort of bastardized version

Band
last song i usually play is imagine by lennon, that or hey jude

Ooh i do love reign of love, such a lovely simple song to play, i use that and clocks as my warm up when i start playing

really? Sweet, it is the easiest way to learn for me as its so easy to recognise notes over sight reading which takes me more time, doable, but more of a chore. I do it for guitar chords aswell, infact let me show you (uploads)

This is my last year at uni and id like to get some jamming done, in terms of ability, completely self taught on both piano and guitar but i can play every coldplay song in kapones thread without error, including the rediculously tuned GPASUPY and spies. Same with piano i can play clocks/trouble/SOS/green eyes (pretty much every coldplay song which uses a piano) and it only takes me a couple of hours to learn a new song. Been learning both since October Confidence is a big thing though, like i said i dont want to start corresponding with people then meet up and them say "you really arent up to it" I should also say i can read sheet music fine, sight reading is a bit of a chore but my method is just to learn by memory. By learn by memory i mean i get the sheet music, transcribe the notes from bass/treble onto them into their corresponding notes (a, g# etc) and play like that, quickest way of learning ive found.
