  1. heh Noni, I got that speech from my dad last night after telling him i was leaving my job end of the year and going to germany for a month with Jessy... he said "What then? Where you gonna work? When are you going to settle down? You have no stability, no roots" I said I'm the happiest I've been for a long time, I have a balance in my life, and things are looking up...when I finish work, I'll have money to live. And until Jessy and I sort out where we are going, I'm not relly in a place I want to settle down...I am happy being free...doing what I want...the thoughts of a house, mortgage, permanent job, these all scare me, as these tie me down, I don't want that until I am ready for it. Why do what society deems is proper? Live as you want to live, only you can ever make you truely happy.

  5. Don't dwell on things you can no longer change or influence :)
  6. Try to live life without regrets...ask for that phone number, tell someone you like them...if you don't then you may always wonder "what if"...i was single for 18 months...thats a long time, but gave me time to think and reflect...have faith Noni, there is some1 there for you if you look...but 1 piece of advice...don't look too hard, don't be too desperate, people can sense that, and it puts them off...someone gave me that piece of advice in June..just relax, be myself, and don't go looking, and it will come...and it did...

  11. Try not to dwell on it...youre the same age as me...its weird, but when i was single i felt really old at 25/26 and kept thinking time is going by so fast, and i'll be too old...now im not single, i want time to hurry up so i can be with jessy permanently...time is immaterial, it really is...you have plenty of time to meet some1 special.

  16. reamined unrequited, tho she knew i liked her...but she loved me like a brother....for a guy, thats the worst line in the world to hear... and a twist... I lived with her...another guy lived nearby..they got on..he was reason i punched hole in door, due to knowing he was in her room with her and i was wound up...2nd year at uni...WE ALL MOVED IN TOGETHER!!! gah lol...but by that stage she really hated him..so that wasnt so bad...but had to live with herknowing nothing would ever happen..that was hard
  17. Back on topic tho ... it is hard being single, especially after a long term relationship..you miss the intimacy of someone...you lie awake at night, wondering if you will be single for ever, will you ever meet anyone...etc... but if you give it time it does work out....*he says from experience* :D
