I love that there are actually other people out there who have absolutely no qualms about giving up their whole day to line up. I am so there. I feel like the Melbourne show is going to go off, and I can't wait. :D

Alright, well there are still a couple of people I'll need to check with first, but if it's looking like no one can accompany me, I'd be happy enough to give it up. It might still be worth going for other tickets in the meantime, though, just because I really can't promise anything and I wouldn't want to be responsible for you missing out when you'd have had the chance to purchase something else. :|

I know, right? I almost didn't get up to check out the general sale. I expected a second show, but not for the tickets to go on sale immediately. If you want to go to the show, though, then I think definitely get what you can, man -- even if it is seated. :nod: ETA: actually, wait. I bought two GA tickets for the second show this morning without thinking about who I'd be going with, so I kind of might actually have a spare. Were you planning on going with anyone?

I was pretty certain there would be a second show in at least Melbourne or Sydney, but I did not expect that we'd have to buy the tickets this morning, too. I freaked and just bought a couple for GA -- not knowing who the hell I'll be going with. Anyone planning on going solo? :P So far, it seems only one additional concert has been "announced". And I'm locked out of Ticketek now, but I don't think the first show has sold out yet.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Had that slight moment of panic when I saw the allocation after purchase, though. Anyway, phew. I seriously cannot wait for these shows -- I am getting way too excited much too far in advance. I'm not sure how to handle these next six months feeling like this. :P

I'm going with a couple of friends in Melbourne -- one of whom is totally up for lining up as well -- and in Brisbane, I'll hopefully be with another friend who isn't a huge fan, but like your sister, is happy to hang around, too. Well, I'm glad I got my tickets in the pre-sale, because I would have had absolutely no luck today. Could get my hands on GA, but allocated seating -- in gold sections? Not a chance. Hope anyone that purchased this morning was successful!

Yeah, I saw those VIP packages and got all excited and then was like, "Oh. That's it? No, thanks." So, I locked down my GA tickets in the pre-sale. I'm not really concerned, but it always freaks me out when I see GA tickets assigned a row and seat numbers. As far as I'm aware, GA is not allocated standing, right? I'm assuming it's for entry purposes, then... :thinking:

Looking at their itinerary, it would seem room has been purposefully left to accommodate any extra shows. It would make no sense for them to backtrack and do it all over again. I'm totally up for paying for any additional concerts, but I'd really rather not fork out for another round of plane tickets... :\ As far as I'm aware, there will be no seats in the GA areas -- even if the tickets have an assigned row and seat number on them. "Barrier" in this case means literally against the front barrier right before the stage.

Whoop. Sorry, man -- just saw your post. Yep, I'll be flying in from Sydney the day before and definitely plan on camping out all day. Same for Melbourne, too. Who are you heading up with? :)

I think you should go. You won't regret that. Even if you aren't so big on some of the newer songs -- you know the boys put on an incredible show. If you're hesitating because of the price, then I really don't think you can go wrong with seats in the silver sections. It's still going to sound great, you'll have those massive screens to watch, and you'll really get to enjoy the light show -- not a bad deal, at all. Go for the cheaper tickets, man. :) (That being said, I'm even starting to second-guess going GA for a couple of these Australasian shows -- I'll be seated in Sydney and NZ, but these stadium gigs have me concerned that because they are so huge, being on the ground might not be the best thing view-wise. Even if you make it close to the front. I love the atmosphere of GA, and I want to be standing; I just don't want some grumpy bitch behind me telling me I need to sit down. Ugh, shit. I feel like I went through this last time and I ended up swearing I'd never sit again. I really wish they stuck to playing the arenas -- I know how to work them, at least).
