I'm one of those in the minority that really loves the effects in MM -- I think they certainly fit the context of the song, in that it almost sounds like Chris is singing into a megaphone or over a telephone or whatever. The live version is good and loud, and I'm glad there are things in each of the versions that I can pick out as favourites. As of yet, I am still to be disappointed with anything they've released for this new era. The backing tracks suit each song pretty wonderfully, I think.

Just having another scroll through this thread and came across a post I'd written about thinking "Cartoon Heart" was a better name then CB. Funny how it seems like it couldn't be known as anything else now -- I think "Charlie Brown" is pretty perfect.

I can't believe it's been almost a whole month since they played SITG. The wait is always excruciating, and then the time comes and it's all over so quickly...

As of yet, I am still waiting to receive the one item that was confirmed as being shipped the other day. Haven't heard anything about the other 3 things I purchased...

I think I'm hoping for the effects. The live version is amazing, and I would so not be against their inclusion in the studio version. I am so in love with the sound of the backing track during the "...how come they're out to get us?" bit. This album cannot come fast enough. And I don't think I can say that enough, either.

Well, after a little deliberation, I just caved and bought $100+ worth of merch from the store the other night. So far I've received confirmation of one item being shipped, so expecting it tomorrow sometime, hopefully. Fingers crossed the other items get here soon, too.

I hadn't planned on pre-ordering, but I think I might for the limited edition. The standard edition I'll buy on release date, which JB Hi-Fi have listed as available on the 21st of October. Interesting.

Fairly certain my Silver Upper seats (pretty much right at the back of the arena) back in 2006 were about AU$80.00. Will have to check that once I get the chance. And 2009 saw General Admission tickets at AU$140.00. This was all through Ticketek for Coldplay shows in Melbourne, Australia, and doesn't include any other fees charged. I agree in thinking that US$200.00 should serve you well. It'll certainly cover the cost of a ticket.

The women's range is abysmal in comparison to the men's, but I agree that we do have pretty great designs. Annoying that pricing can't be done in Australian dollars also, but as long as they can still ship over here, I don't have much to complain about. I'm just incredibly glad to see that they've finally put up a sizing chart. That was the one thing that completely irritated me about the previous store.

Agreed. The intro ("MX") and outro are some of the most amazing things I've ever heard musically -- so brilliant. And I'm absolutely loving the backing track/vocal as Chris sings, "How come they're out to get us..." Incredible, incredible song.

It is just such an amazing song live. Love it.

I am so in love with the backing vocal/track as Chris sings, "...be a cartoon heart". Especially in the iTunes Festival performance -- amazing. Also, absolutely the intro for "Life Is For Living". No doubt about it.
